I stayed here during off season (November) so didn't deal with any cruiseship issues. The hotel was pretty empty actually. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic, nothing fancy, but I enjoyed my stay. The restaurant (bar & grill) had the best steak I've had in a long time- I actually ordered it 2 nights... more

The Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge is a couple minutes from the Airport, on the banks of the Chena River. It has ample free parking, with plug-ins at every parking spot for plugging the car in during the winter months to keep the block from freezing. It's easy to get to. The hotel itself is very nice. The foyer/check in area... more

Stayed here as part of a conference hosted at the hotel. The hotel's location more or less right across the highway from the Fairbanks Int'l Airport made its location ideal for the conference we were participating in. As a guest, I was impressed by the hotel in that I had a deluxe room that was about as big as a... more

There is nothing really wrong with this hotel, it's just that it could be better. The front desk (for check in & out, requests for information) was slow and not too savy and the meeting room we used was either too cold or too hot. The decor in rooms and public areas is passable, but you'd think that with all... more

In seventeen years of traveling in Alaska for conferences and meetings, I have never been more disappointed in a hotel stay. First of all, the location is a very expensive cab ride to every shop, restaurant or attraction in town. It cost $6 each way to go a mile down the road to a grocery store. I was glad I... more

I was attending a conference being hosted at the hotel and therefore I stayed there. My first impression of the hotel was the set of big double doors that do not open automatically. Upon checking in the front desk person told me the boxes I sent were there and to call any time for delivery to my room or the... more

....for 3 days, and they needed to get a part from the lower 48. I know sometimes this can't be avoided, but as I was there for business, it was highly inconvenient. The front desk staff was unapologetic about it, but the drivers were helpful when they could be (shuttle service into town//airports/northern lights wake up calls). Huge bed, great... more

We attended the Master Gardener Conf at the hotel. Great rate of $ 69 (conf rate), internet rate is $ 89 on Princess site. The interior of the public areas was very nice, fire places burning, internet is free in lobby and public areas. Gym has much equipment and a steam room. Our room faced the Chena River, about 200... more
