My wife I stayed at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge for two nights in August 2014 as a part of our Princess cruise land tour. We received our room keys in advance, so there was no check in. Our room was clean and comfortable. The furniture was a little worn, but the room was fine. We had a nice view... More

The princess lodge and service was very good. Nice deck on the river to have dinner. Bought microwave and fridge on special request. However, the excursion service (probably not part of Princess) really sucked and never bothered when we missed our bus to downtown. However the front desk was helpful in finding alternative for us.

Having read previous reviews about this Princess lodge, was not expecting a whole lot. Was pleasantly surprised. Lobby was spacious, outdoor dining was pleasant, although service was sometimes spotty. Convenient and reasonable shuttle service to town opened up many dining and touring possibilities. Rooms fairly large and adequate. Good start to cruisetour.

I stayed at Fairbanks Princess for the first time.. It was nice, outside is well kept along with the lobby and such.. Staff was ok, rooms okay, but I stayed on the first floor and it was noisy at 5:30 am, above room.. Other then that, it was a nice two days!

Nice resort right on a river. Large resort with lovely grounds and places to sit and view the sights. The salmon chowder in the bar and grill was delicious. Nice rooms with great views. Not too much around that you can walk to. Helpful and courteous staff. They offer a shuttle service into town for a moderate daily fee. $5.00... More

Booked this trip through Princess Cruise Lines. This was the first stop after arriving in Fairbanks. If you are planning on going to Alaska, do the land tour first then do the cruise last. It only gets better from here. This hotel was not what we expected, but I think it is only open half the year or so. To... More

Stayed here on our last two nights in Alaska. The hotel was ok with reasonable size rooms etc. The staff are helpful, especially Hannah on the front desk. The only down side was the buffet breakfast that had very few choices of breakfast fare. You can walk (about 25 minutes) to the Fred Meyer shopping complex and you can get... More

Upon arrival, this hotel looked impressive and inviting, but the room was much less impressive. The bed was uncomfortable and the whole impression was dingy and dated. The bath tub was dirty and the shower curtain was moldy. Before check out, when we were checking under the bed we discovered a half eaten container of chocolate cupcakes. Other people said... More

We stayed attach this lodge on the last night of our Princess Cruise-Tour. I would describe it as a full-service hotel with budget motel rooms. The furnishings and linens were old and faded. I could not determine whether the towels were faded out beige or discolored white. When I turned down the bed, the sheets were in such a wrinkled... More

Arrived on vista dome train for two nights here. Had fun touring mining country but found nothing to do in Fairbanks itself. Lodge was average in every respect. Well fireplace was pretty good. Personally I would not return to Fairbanks. Stop in Denali and turn around. Take the ranger piloted airplane tour there.
