We were lucky to get a room (as with everywhere we stayed on our trip during the summer). The cottage was clean and very cozy! We had a patio with furniture right on the Chena River. We sat outside and just relaxed watching the water. The whole site was very well maintained with flower baskets everywhere. The Resort restaurant was... More

We traveled to Alaska in early Sept and stayed here for 2 nights and we were very pleased with the resort. We had 1 of the cabins and it was a good size .very clean and beautiful flower baskets hanging from each cabin. There was a nice small patio looking out toward the river which. we didn't get to use... More

We were assigned a room (cottage) here as part of our Alaska Grand Tour with Discovery Voyages. Considering its location in the city, we found the buildings and grounds well maintained and attractive. The separate cabins were placed in the midst of a well manicured lawn and along side a beautiful stream. Meals at the nearby restaurant were basic but... More

The Resort is unique in that the accommodation is in separate cabins. These are roomy and well presented and our cabin did open out to the river. Being there in September with overcast skies did not allow a good viewing of the northern lights though there were a few pleasant evenings where we sat and ate take-away at the outdoor... More

It was like a quick trip into our past staying at the awesome resort. They had multiple cabins, all white, lined up in rows with hugh baskets of fresh flowers hanging off the eaves. The lawn and property was manicured, the view of the river supurb and the staff there was so helpful in trying to get up to where... More

Want to thank the staff, James and Thom for going out of their way to make things great. When we hit the river front camins after almost 24 hours of travel we were greeted with a smile. Most everything was closed by the time we got there and decided to walk to Busters for lunch. Good hamburgers and a nice... More

Brenda and I spent 2 nights in Fairbanks, Alaska at this hotel. There is a great restaurant right next door and walking along the river next to the hotel is beautiful. We were hoping to see the Northern Lights, but it was cloudy and rainy both nights.

I had a reservation for another hotel in Fairbanks, but they evidently overbooked and shunted me to the River's Edge Resort. That turned out to be a fine thing - the little cabin I was in was great and right on the river. The cabin I was in was effectively a duplex - two separate rooms in the cabin (could... More

Nice, clean, quiet larger "cottage" room felt very homey. The grounds are well cared for and the flowers were beautiful. The river side rooms have very nice patios to enjoy the Chena river view and relax. The ducks are friendly and add to the charm of the resort. The staff was very helpful & friendly. Parking is away from most... More

The hotel is at prime location. The staff was not very friendly. The WiFi works only at lobby and closer rooms, and they won't do anything to improve it other than asking you to come to lobby whenever you want to access internet. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
An afternoon on a sunny riverbank exemplifies the best of Interior Alaska; this place is built around that knowledge. Trim little cottages stand in a grassy compound along the gentle Chena River. Inside, each light, airy cottage is an excellent standard hotel room, with high ceilings and two queen beds. Outside, they're like a little village, where guests can sit on the patio, watch the river go by, soak up the midnight sun and socialize. ... more   less
