We stayed at the River's Edge Resort between our cruise and our trip into Denali National Park. What a pleasant surprise! We were not expecting to have our own little cabin, which turned out to be on the river. We were able to sit on some benches for a few minutes watching the boats go by. Our only regret is... More

I booked two cabins on the water. When we got there we had two adjoining garden cabins. When I spoke to front desk they were sorry there had been a mistake and would get me two cabins on the water. After awhile she informed me that she couldn't accommodate me because she didn't have anything available and she didn't want... More

We stayed at the River's Edge for 3 nights on the first stop of a 2-week Alaska vacation. We did not interact much with the staff, so my comments are limited to the accommodations and beautiful surroundings. River's Edge is only about a mile from the airport but despite this we were not bothered by any airport noise. It features... More

All the rooms are individual, nicely decorated cabins. There are gorgeous baskets of flowers hanging outside the entrance of each cabin. The hotel front desk staff and dining room staff are very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is served in the dining room for a fee, but I didn't think the buffet was worth the cost. My recommendation is that... More

Upon pulling up you may have second thoughts about staying. But, you'll be happy you stayed. The price, for Fairbanks, was a steal. Originally we were to stay in a king upstairs in the hotel but the a/c couldn't keep up with the heat of the day. They relocated us to a river cabin & I was thrilled. The room... More

Came here on an escorted guided tour. Rooms are separate cottages and not the traditional rooms. Located near the Chena River in Fairbanks on Boat Street. No mini refrigerator or microwave. Coffee and tea maker in the room. You can exit the rear of the cottage room and sit outside. Room size was adequate for four. There is a restaurant... More

I booked too quickly before really checking the details- no microwave or fridge which you would normally expect in a cottage. The "cable"channels are terrible. Breakfast pricey for what you get and ends at 9. Is not walkable to anything except their restaurant. Laundry is at the RV park. Dated decor.

When I first arrived it did not look like what I thought it would be from the picture online but I was very happy with the individual cottages and the friendly people. They also have an RV park at this same location where you will find a small store and Laundromat as well. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and... More

What a relaxing weekend in Fairbanks while staying at the Rivers Edge resort. Whenever traveling to Fairbanks, we always try to book our stay at the Rivers Edge Resort, and our trip this weekend, the Tanana Valley State Fair weekend, was no exception. We were able to stay in one of the cottages on the river and just love to... More

TERRIBLE WiFi ! Tom the GM should look into this. Unless you are sitting in the lobby, you get no coverage. The poor desk clerks were getting call after call with complaints about it. They remained very courteous though. Great individual little cottages...just basic though. Stayed 2 nights. Very good restaurant available & they kept it open later for the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An afternoon on a sunny riverbank exemplifies the best of Interior Alaska; this place is built around that knowledge. Trim little cottages stand in a grassy compound along the gentle Chena River. Inside, each light, airy cottage is an excellent standard hotel room, with high ceilings and two queen beds. Outside, they're like a little village, where guests can sit on the patio, watch the river go by, soak up the midnight sun and socialize. ... more   less
