Out flight landed late and we arrived at the hotel at about 11:30 pm. It seemed to be professionally run and we were given our room keys without hassle by an straight face - no nonsense guest service agent. Room was small with twin beds combined to make a double bed, 2 bed side tables Good size TV, open closet... More

Since this hotel is only open a few months of the year, maybe they think it hasn't aged. Believe me, it has. If you're nostalgic for the mauve and sage decor of old, this is your place. If you like small, quaint room styles with tiny plastic bathrooms, book right now. And if, when you request a room with two... More

I reserved a room with a King Bed. What I received was a room with a Queen and Twin. I told 3 different people about this. They didn't really care. I got a snide sorry and we are booked that is probably why that happened. When I asked on the first night where was a good place to go eat,... More

We had a very large corner room on the 2nd floor, very comfortable beds and to our delight, a large supply of hangers. We had a lovely view of the Chena River. Only downside was that our room was right above an outside patio area. At 1am a few folks decided to have a smoke and visit for awhile. Had... More

The Bridgewater is ideally located for visiting downtown Fairbanks, and a free shuttle bus is available to take tourists to a handful of other destinations, including a world-class auto museum. The outside of the building is beautifully maintained with huge hanging baskets, and the front staff couldn't be friendlier. That said, the rooms were surprisingly tiny. Our room had enough... More

This hotel is right in downtown Fairbanks and across the street from the Chena River. Our room was nice; very clean. The staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants nearby. We were here for two nights. We were able to get an exceptional military rate; that was great considering how expensive a visit to AK is. We were told that... More

We spent 4 nights here with our tour group and were totally pleased with the visit. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is within walking distance to downtown and the front of the building was beautifully decorated with hanging baskets of colorful flowers. The front desk and breakfast staffs were most accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was... More

We had a corner room with an amazing view of Fairbanks. The entire staff was amazing. They gave us personal tips on what they thought we might enjoy on our visit. That was nice since we were trying to make the most of the little amount of time we had their. The room was HUGE and clean. Breakfast was pretty... More

The hotel staff and its location are the best part of the experience. The lobby is well appointed and they offer a very nice buffet breakfast, for a reasonable price. The hotel sits right across from the Chena River on the edge of downtown and you can walk along the flower lined river bank all the way out to Pioneer... More

Fairbanks has some things for visitors to do, but not a whole lot. UAF's Museum of the North is cool, there is the Fountainhead car museum, Alaskaland at Pioneer Park...nothing too exciting though. The Bridgewater will put you in a frame of mind where "not too exciting" is the norm. The gardens out front are gorgeous and well maintained, the... More
