Like others, we were placed here rather than at the Princess Lodge for two nights at the the end of the cruise. Our initial disappointment was swiftly erased by the very pleasant and helpful staff, the clean, large rooms and the flexibility in dining arrangments. The Antique Auto Museium on site is quite remarkable and well worth a visit and... more

I can't even begin to tell you all the negative unbelievable experiences had during my stay. They charge you $.25 per piece of paper in their business center, this is after you pay $150 per night to stay in the equvilency of an old age home. They wouldn't let me check in an hour early even though the place is... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Bear Lodge @ the Wedgewood Resort in Fairbanks. (Were there for a drive/fly tour into Anaktuvuk Pass in Gates of the Arctic National Park). I had originally had reservations elsewhere, only to find out a couple of weeks beforehand that it went out of business. So I researched and found decent reviews on the... more

We stayed at the Bear Lodge for 2 nights at the beginning of our Princess cruise-tour. After reading some of the reviews, we were a little worried about staying there. We were very pleasantly surprised, however. We had nice, big rooms with no problems at all. The people were very friendly, the breakfast in the restaurant was good, and we... more

The Bear Lodge was very clean. Staff was helpful and very friendly. We ate lunch at the lodge and it was very good. After reading the other reviews I was nervous about staying here. We stayed 2 nights. more

This hotel was clean and in a good location for those that have rental cars. When we checked in we were told our room was in the Bear Lodge which is located on the same property. I’m not sure if we were getting what we paid for though because they said the rooms were larger in the Wedgewood part of... more

Stayed for one night as part of a Princess pre cruise land tour. We had hoped to be staying at the Princess Lodge but received confirmation about two weeks prior to the trip that we'd be staying here, disappointed. During our transfer from the airport the coach driver described this lodge as an overspill hotel for the Princess lodge. Like... more

I've stayed at motels all over Alaska and this is one of my favorites. The staff was always very helpful and had an employee assist in taking our luggage up to the third floor. Like most places there is no elevator. The location is far enough out there is little traffic but close enough in you can get to anywhere... more

Let me preface this review by saying that we were not happy from the moment we arrived at this lodge. We had been deemed "spillover" on a Princess Cruise Tour and were not pleased with the fact that even though we booked our trip a year in advance, we did not get to stay at the Princess Fairbanks Lodge. Then... more

Staying at the Wedgewood Resort was a very wonderful experience as it is located next to the nature trails of Creamers Field with lots of peace and quiet and away from the bustle of the town. Moose would occasionally wander the grounds at night and early morning and the Northern Lights were visible from my balcony. The front desk staff... more
