We came to Fairbanks to stage a canoe trip on the Noatak River in Gates of the Arctic. Billie's was a great place to stop. She freely allowed us to pack and store gear. The rooms were clean. Good showers, Internet, plenty of room to cook. Billie was also openly welcome and helpful. We loved the place and would stay... More

I stayed at Billie's for a couple weeks, and was very pleased. In addition to echoing the sentiments of other reviewers, I would like to add that Billie's felt safe, secure and snug. As an older woman who frequently travels alone, I am quite sensitive to those features. I was comfortable leaving my stuff out while I was gone during... More

Staying with Billie is going to totally destroy any bed and breakfast, no less hostel experience ever. She is not just a host, she is a friend. A friend that has your back at all times, cares about what you are doing and is so caring of all around her. Staying and meeting Billie, was truly one of the cherish... More

Stayed here for a few days before the Dalton Highway, Billie and Art could not do enough, friendly, so relaxed, Art ran me to the bike shop to collect a repair. Laundry while away on the Dalton. Coffee and extras in the evening Amazing place. I have neverwritten a review but this place deserves a medal, this is shared by... More

This is a place where - once you stay here, you are spoiled. The generous, gracious and warm personality that greets you, stays with you your whole visit. It seems to influence all the other guests as well. It's a clean, quiet, peaceful place where you can truly rest. There is also a teepee where you can sleep out back,... More

I picked this hostel at random after bicycling the Dalton Highway from Prudhoe Bay down to Fairbanks. What a find! Super friendly folks here, prices are great, and Billy, the owner, will keep a weary traveler supplied with and endless amount of coffee.... and the occasional piece of pie, cake, donuts. WiFi is good, shower is hot, and the common... More

Billie's was a really nice hostel. I have stayed in hostels all over South America and some in Europe. Billie's was exactly what I would want. First off, Billie is such a sweet caretaker. She just instilled a cozy, homey feel to the experience. Feeling comfortable to walk around and fraternize (or not) is why I sometimes prefer hostels when... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Beyond awesome! Felt as if I was at home the whole stay. Billie is very friendly and warming. Everything is very clean and stayed that way throughout my stay here. This was my first hostel experience, so I was a little on edge at first. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed and it... More

We stayed at Billie's for two nights. We are a family of 4 adults and booked a small room with 4 bunk beds. It is homey and sufficient. When we arrived, owner did not appear to be ready for us. She removed someone from the bunk-bed room and quickly vacuumed. We made our beds. Value-wise, it was $30/per person... not... More
