My husband and I spent one night here in mid May. We arrived around 4 in the afternoon after a very pleasant ride from Fairbanks through Chena River State Park. We walked the property, after an easy check-in, and almost immediately met up with a cow moose and her calf. Great photo op. There was an activity hall with snack... more

We drove out there (56 miles east of Fairbanks) to kill some time and check out the place. We could have spent the night but found the price too steep ($189 was cheapest room). But we were hungry so decided to try restaurant. It was not busy so we were seated immediately. The bar is in same room and there... more

When my husband said he wanted to go to the interior of Alaska in the middle of winter, I almost stayed home. I am so glad I didn't! Chena Hot Springs is incredible. There are so many activities, you're hardly in your room! From snow-shoeing to dog mushing school to snow-mobiling, taking a dip in the natural hot springs, or... more

My wife and I went to Chena to see the Aurora and enjoy some winter activites in Alaska. Chena Hot Springs provides a geat setting and excellent staff and an activity center guaranteed to keep you busy. Rooms are clean. Food is very good. Staff is excellent. But the real treat at Chena is the number of activites designed to... more

We took a chance and booked flights for just 2 days at Chena and had a great time - fun ride from the airport with Mike, great food and service all around, loved the hotsprings, got a nice massage from Jake, got to go dog mushing with the huskies, but best of all was the aurora viewing on the snowcoach... more

We went to Chena for a 3 day tour to see the Northern Lights. While Chena is a beautiful piece of country with huge potential, the 5 of us all felt a little ripped off - at every stage. The rooms were tidy but the hair in the shower was a bit nasty on the day we arrived. One of... more

Realizing that we were very late in the season, we did not expect to be able to do a lot of the activities, but were so put off by the first impression we barely stayed the single night. If it had not been such a long drive for us, we would not have checked in at all. The room was... more

My wife and I live in Fairbanks and visit Chena Hot Springs Resort typically every other month specifically to take advantage of the hot springs. That makes for a great day trip and the hot springs are very relaxing; whether or not they are healing - well, we always feel really good for several days after a good long soak.... more

If your looking for a place to go relax, no be bothered and enjoy your self... This is def it. There is no cell phone service up here [so no worrying about people bothering you about how your vacation is going]... The Hot Springs are GREAT!! [There is plenty of room for it not to seem crowded] The desing is... more

We opted to say in one of the yurts - very pleasant, save for the water pump 50 ft. from the building. The property is... odd. The outdoor pool is fantastic - which is about the only fantastic thing about the place. The locker room is pretty gross and the overall feeling of the property is cheep - which is... more
