My husband and I were married in Olde Towne Fredericksburg only a few doors down from the Richard Johnston Inn. Because we live out in the country, we opted to rent a few rooms for before the wedding and the night of for us to stay in as well as out of town guests. The Inn could not have been... More

My husband and I booked one night as a mini-vacation during his two-week leave from Iraq, and found the Inn to be not only charming but one of the most hospitable and generous places we have ever stayed. Our room, the Loft, was beautiful, clean, and truly exceeded our expectations. And the common spaces in the residence were just as... More

The accomodations were warm, clean and very welcoming. We were met by the inn keeper and staff who were friendly, helpful and attentive. This inn is just like home with the aroma of home cooked foods being prepared in the kitchen. We will definitely return.

Just got home from our stay at the Inn. Took the wife, mother-in-law and daughter. I knew I hit paydirt when we entered the building and mom-in-law fell in love with the place (trip was for her) and our 19 year old daughter exclaimed how much she liked the rooms. Bonnie (innkeeper) was a fine hostess and made sure our... More

Was in Fredericksburg for 2 days over Halloween. As I stepped off the Amtrak train, I found a lovely town and a Wonderful B&B in the Richard Johnston Inn. Bonnie, the hostess + mgr, was very accomodating, friendly, helpful and down-to-earth. So is the staff. I was greeted at the door by Bonnie's 2 adorable little schnauzer dogs. (but not... More

I'd recommend the Richard Johnston Inn to anyone staying in the downtown Fredericksburg area. The location is absolutely perfect for antiquing and visiting the shops with the beautifully decorated windows. Old town Fredericksburg is a great place for finding unique gifts for the holidays! No matter how long you stay at the Richard Johnston Inn, it will feel like a... More

The Richard Johnston Inn was just the best!!! Bonnie and her staff went out of their ways to make everyone feel like family. The breakfasts were delicious, afternoon cookies just like your grandmother made and our room, which was the old Kitchen Suite, was beyond our expectations. Would consider going back again and again. We have stayed in many places... More

I was born and raised in Fredericksburg and went back to visit an uncle and cousins ... had a train to NYC and spotted the Richard Johnson Inn just a couple of blocks from the station (I remembered the building as a shambles at the wrong end of town) ... what a great surprise ... I don't much like B&B... More

We have been transfered to Fredericksburg and went there for the first time over the Labor Day Week-end. Having never visited this area before, we were a anxious about getting acquainted and accomplishing our task of buying a home. We quickly took a deep breath when we walked into our suite/room. It was wonderful and well appointed. Bonnie, the InnKeeper,... More

We spent 2 nights at the Richard Johnston Inn. What a lovely & relaxing experience. The staff were friendly & helpful. The Innkeeper, Bonnie , was very accomadating . Our room was spacious and comfortable. We can't wait to return this winter to experience the Holiday decorations in this charming, historic town of Fredricksburg.
