We adored Andi and Paul, they were so gracious and inviting. The home itself has been meticulously restored and is beautiful! EVERYdetail was attended to. Highly recommend sitting outside and enjoying the backyard, cozy, private and peaceful. Easy walikng distance to shops and resturants in historic downtown area. more

My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs... and the Schooler House is now our favorite. We had the most wonderful weekend in Fredericksburg. The house is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. Our room was so nice and the bed and sheets were so comfortable. We slept like babies. Andi and Paul were so hospitable. We felt like we were... more

My wife and I have been visiting the USA for oveer thirty years and this is the best ever. Situated within the historic district and everything is within a few moments stroll. The house has been decorated and filled with interesting antiques, a tribute to Andi's unique artistic tastes. There are only two bedrooms and we stayed in Willie's room... more

Paul and Andi provide a warm, hospitable atmosphere. Their B&B is extremely comfortable and immaculate, and it is in the middle of historic old town Fredericksburg. I parked my car in front of the B&B on Friday night and never needed it until I left Monday afternoon. Plenty of historic sights, restaurants and stores, to include antique shops, within easy... more

This was an idyllic weekend in an lovely old home in Old Fredericksberg. The accommodations were first rate and the breakfast sumptuous. If I ever have the opportunity to return to the area, I wouldn't think to stay anywhere else. Thank you Andi for your hospitality. more

What a wonderfully warm welcome we received at The Schooler House from Andi when we arrived extremely tired following our long journey from Newcastle UK and the rush hour traffic from Dulles. Andi greeted us with Earl Grey tea and biscuitsand nothing seemed too much trouble and our problems were soon eased. Willie's room is superb and what a comfortable... more

On a recent visit to civil war battlesites my brother and I were fortunate to secure accomodation at Schooler House, located in the centre of Fredericksburg within walking distance of the excellent local restaurants and an easy drive to the battle sites of Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, The Wilderness and Spotsylvania. Our hostess, Andi, and her husband could not have been more... more

We had a fantastic New Years Eve in Fredericksburg. A " first night" celebration in the old section of town with a great dinner and a most lovely stay at the Schooler House. The accomdations are first rate, the Inn keepers informative and the breakfast was wonderful. We look forward to returning. more

From the minute we arrived, we felt as if we were staying with old friends for the weekend. Ande and Paul were the perfect hosts. Their place was charming, located a short walk from downtown Fredericksburg. Our room(Annies room) was small but adequate, very clean, with an extremely comfortable queen bed. And did I mention the breakfast. Absolutely delicious. We... more

We were recommended to The Schooler House by a friend, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is beautifully appointed and charming; the bedrooms are spacious with lovely bathrooms, and are as quiet as can be; and the breakfast abundant and delicious, as good as you would get at a five-star restaurant. The owner, Andi Gabler, has thought... more
