Kenmore Inn is a large, beautiful house with plenty of communal space (although it was a shame they didn't light the fireplace in the sitting room on one of the coldest nights of the year!) There is also a very cosy horseshoe bar in the basement with an excellent barman. However our stay was marred by the terrible breakfast. I... More

2 couples made reservation for restaurant week. Surely was a surprise, the main courses included Flank Steak, Mahi Mahi, Chicken Paillard & Ricotta Ravioli with very nice appetizers & dessert. Drinks included wine, craft beers & a nice Dark & Stormy. The four of us ordered the four main courses & everyone gave nice compliments to the Chef Jackie Hartman... More

The inn was very pretty and comfortable except for the very chilly room our first night which after getting extra blankets and turning up the heat in main hallway helped a lot. The Thanksgiving dinner was not that great esp. for the price but the breakfasts we had were wonderful. The pub downstairs was enjoyable and there was a live... More

We arrived on time (2) and were seated at a very small round table that was unstable. Initial order was quite slow. Oysters on half shell & Mussels were very small in size. Main course Steak & Turkey was served after a 30 minute wait requested salt * pepper which was never delivered. As we ate the Wine ordered was... More

Mr./Miss. I am very sorry to hear of your negative experience dining with us. I was surprised to see that your experience was so off with your server, I made plenty of bread, and there are no excuses for you not having it of not having your drinks in a timely fashion. I pride myself on great food, and although... More

This is what an old victorian style B & B should be, i.e., antique furniture, fireplaces and creaky floors. Bathrooms have been modernized but still small. A short walk to restaurants, shops and historical landmarks. The dinner was a delight with delicious food and friendly staff. It is lovely to have a restaurant of this quality in a small Inn.... My wife and I stayed on a Wednesday night on our way south. The OLD rooms and furniture are comfortable. Each room has a fireplace and historic stories to tell, offered a carafe of sherry, free coffee in the hall, and a wonderful pub in the basement.

Very nice and beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Maybe the best food in Fredericksburg. Cook to order breakfast is delicious. Dinner and pub offer tremendous food. On Thursday evening there is great live music. Get one of the back 2 rooms for the best quiet and privacy. Many great little details provided - free coffee and... More

The historic Kenmore Inn is nicely located on a one-way street and is easy walking distance to restaurants. It is an architecturally beautiful inn with 9 rms. Our room was the Rose Parlor with an updated albeit very small bathroom. Our one chair and window treatments were not fresh looking. The lighting (for reading purposes) was less than adequate and... Stopped here on the way to the Outer Banks. Our room, 204, was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good. We toured the town on our bikes and also rode the local bike path. Did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice, especailly the outdoor courtyard.

This hotel had rave reviews in Fodor's but it's not that great..still it has redeeming aspects. The breakfast was super, you can walk to the original house "Kenmore House" and take a tour. You will be hard to find more finely crafted 3-dimensional plaster (of oyster shells) ceilings..they are breathtaking. The Inn itself does have a restaurant but with a... More
