We had two stays in one week, 9/11-9/15 and 9/17. We reserved an Executive King room with toy view. Upon arrival we given a second floor room that actually had a large steel structural beam in the middle of the window. This was a X structure with two 12" Beams. Outside the structure was the framework for the cover over... More

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Boston-Brookline for one night because it was close to Fenway Park, where we were stopping to see a game at the tail end of our vacation. That part was great; Fenway is just a touch under a mile from the hotel and on a September evening the walk was nice. It went through a... More

If you are saying in Boston, then this isn't Boston! It's about four miles out which is about a 25 minute ride on the train/tram thing into the centre. The rooms themselves are nice enough, but we had a room on the first floor which overlooked an indoor pool and gave the whole place an essence of an indoor version... More

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to share your experience with us. Indeed we are located just outside the Boston city limits and a short ride by train to the city center, but without the downtown Boston prices or the noise, as we are located in a quaint section of Brookline. The hotel has many different... More

This is the best location in Brookline for a hotel. The dining and housekeeping staff are pleasant. Checkin staff make staying here a chore. Not pleasant and bordering on surly. This hotel has the ability to get a lot of repeat business.

I am pleased that you found both the restaurant and housekeeping staff friendly, but extremely disappointed in your check-inn experience, of which I will send you an e-mail privately to get more details so that we can take corrective measures. Thank you for taking the time to write us, we appreciate the feedback. More

Hi again from SLRE. My very first TA review in July seemed to resonate with well over a thousand viewers after I panned the HIE in Cambridge MA. When the HIE manager suggested I look elsewhere for future Boston-area lodging, I rebooked at the HI in Brookline, assuming it HAD to be better. So it’s mid-August now, we’re heading back... More

Thank you for your very colorful narrative of the hotel, an rest assured no you will find no Monkey's running around, but will certainly pass along the kudos to Everton, as he is a tremendous asset to the hotel. Your assessment of the hotel is somewhat correct as part of the "half of a block" portion was first built, which... More

This place is a little dreary. The room was fine - except the first one we got was on a floor with a large extended family from another country, who had basically moved in! Kids running around the hallways at 10:30PM, room doors left open with people literally changing clothes in full view! Some kind of weird odor in the... More

Interesting hotel a bit like an inside out motel, all rooms open onto a central area that is part of the building and contains a swimming pool, the room windows are also on to this area. Room was clean and tidy plenty of soap shampoo etc. but a big old style. didn't set at hotel but area is quite residential,... More

Thank you for your feedback as we appreciate your comments. I am pleased the rooms was clean and tidy, and indeed some of the rooms do look out into our interior courtyard, but we also have exterior facing rooms for a little extra. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, with easy access into the city by train. Again thank... More

This former motel, converted into a hotel is in a great location, but is in desperate need of a complete renovation. As an IHG Platinum Rewards Club member, I am often upgraded but, when an upgrade is unavailable, I at least expect a pleasant room. On this occasion I was allocated room 207 in the "executive tower," directly above the... More
