I stayed in The Treehouse room at Beech Tree Inn last summer while visiting family in Brookline. My room was thoughtfully decorated, and appointed with a comfortable bed, as well as nice chairs for lounging. The breakfast was fantastic, and included warm homemade coffee cake, cheeses, rolls, cookies, and fruit, among other items. (I had home preserved apricots which I... More

A lovely B/B in a quiet, leafy and very accessible part of Boston. The best part--guaranteed parking spot for a very reasonable rate. Another great perk--fabulous breakfast, freshly baked (on premises) goods, great coffee/tea the whole day. Great staff! Very helpful and knowledgeable.

I had The Porch, a lovely room that looked out onto Longwood Avenue. Breakfasts were hearty and filling: popovers, fruit, yogurt, hot and cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, fresh coffee and teas. Janette, the inn keeper, made my stay extra special. Her thoughtfulness and kindness to all the travelers made our stay unforgettable. This inn in convenient to shops and... More

My family enjoyed our stay. Very cosy, quiet and comfortable in room 8- top floor. Enjoyed the various baked treats left in the kitchen for guests to enjoy during the day. Excellent location next to shops and public transport. Hostess could have been more friendlier, but we enjoyed our stay here regardless.

This B&B is a great option for you if you have business at the Longwood Medical and Academic area of Boston. It's a 20-minute walk or short taxi ride to Boston Children's Hospital, the Harvard Conference Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and many other institutions nearby. The Beech Tree Inn is beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens, a high-end professional... More

This was a return trip for us to the Beech Tree Inn, and this time was even better than the time before. We are a Baby Boomer couple who enjoy traveling and have children here and there and everywhere ... and we always try and stay at B&Bs whenever possible. We find the Beech Tree to be exactly what a... More

We arrived early by prior arrangement. Janette welcomed us warmly into her kitchen, which is truly the heart of this 19th century b&b. Our room could be described as shabby chic, but it was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Coffee and cakes available all day and all night, and we often came back... I wasn't expecting much from this B&B, because the pictures I saw made it look cramped and dated. However, the room my friend and I stayed in was pretty adorable! The entire house has a certain charm, I honestly felt so at home during my stay. Everything was clean and adorably decorated. Walking to and from the bathroom isn't ideal,... More

We like staying at B&Bs to feel closer to the neighborhood and to get that personal advice and input from a knowledgeable local. That was totally missing at the Beech Tree Inn. The Innkeeper was at most perfunctory in her attention to guests. The continental breakfast and afternoon sweets were ok but not special and not varied. The room was... More
