We have stayed at the Samuel Sewall Inn when we visited Boston. A place close enough, yet away, with comfort and relaxation attitude. A very rich breakfast sets you up for the day, and in addition you get free hot beverages and snacks all day through. Rooms a bit small and lack of lobby does reduce the overall rating, plus... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Within an easy walk from Fenway in a super safe neighborhood. Also have the T within a 2 minute walk. A wonderful old building with great rooms. Lots of character. So nice to finally find a B and B with a king size bed. We had room 14 and it was awesome.

We had a NCL cruise leaving from Boston so came a few days early to see the sites. We selected this location because the Boston MFA and the Gardner Museum were within walking distance. The innkeepers are probably the strongest reason for recommending this accommodation as they did everything possible to assist including rescuing a suitcase we had inadvertently taken... More

Stayed here for one night when we dropped my daughter off for school. Very convenient, just a few minutes from Boston U campus. The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. It's an old building so there's not much soundproofing, but a place like this doesn't really attract the party crowd so noise was not an issue at... More

This Inn is excellent! The location was absolutely perfect for us - safe neighbourhood, transit very close by, walking distance to stores, restaurants, Fenway park, everything we needed! The amenities were stunning. The inn is charming and cozy. The innkeepers were the best! They could not do enough for us to make sure our experience was top notch. Breakfast was... More

The Samuel Sewall Inn is a nice alternative to staying in a hotel. My room had great character. A nice place to come back too after a day out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Having a car parking spot was very helpful for the day I had a hire car. 24 hour snacks and coffee was to have. My room... More

The staff are very helpful, pleasant, eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was nice, good granola, cereals, home made breads & pastries, fresh fruit, a daily hot entree. Good quality tea and coffee. Snacks available 24 hours. Nice rooms with modern baths, very clean. Just one block to the T station, about 15 minutes to Quincy... More

Overall, I was very impressed with this B&B. The place is very quaint and filled with antiques. It is a great deal for the price. If you expect modern, updated and comfy you really need to go somewhere else. The staff was very friendly, although we did arrive earlier than checkin and although our room had been vacated and the... More

We loved our three days at the Samuel Sewall. The lovely Victorian house is beautifully decorated with a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we really appreciated that snacks (fruit, granola bars, cookies, drinks) were made available to us 24 hours a day. The location is ideal. It's not only close to all the shopping and... More

The Samuel Sewall Inn looks more like a B&B than a hotel but it features nice rooms and a great breakfast. We were in room 10 and that's one of the smallest rooms. Beware of the stairs because it's right beside your room and you will hear people using it at night and in the morning. The only problem that... More
