This was our second stay at the Samuel Sewell Inn. In fact, we even had the same room as on our first visit. The room was beautifully decorated. Bed was comfortable, and the fireplace, though we did not use it, was all set to be started. Nightly turned down service and chocolate was very nice! The location is close to... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is perfect for easy access to the 'T' and a quick trip into the city. The surrounding neighborhood has a good variety of restaurants within walking distance. The Inn has a lot of charm. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The daily breakfast was delicious, and the complimentary snacks and coffee... More

I stayed three nights in mid-June and this was my first time ever staying in a B&B. The Samuel Sewall Inn certainly delivered and exceeded my expectations with their homey accommodations, wonderful breakfasts, and extremely courteous and helpful staff. Keurig coffee fixings, homemade cookies, fresh fruit, dried fruit, nuts and other snacks available 24/7.Sister property The Bertram Inn is right... More

We stayed in Samuel Sewall Inn for three nights and it was certainly a great experience. The rooms are very nicely put together in a way that evokes pleasant childhood memories. The staff is also quite helpful. But the star of the show is certainly the breakfast - the selection is varies every day and it is carefully curated. By... More

Been to Beantown many times before and stayed in nice big traditional hotels. This time we had a large group of family in town for a graduation. We decided to try the Inn so we could stay together and have a homey feeling. Samuel Sewall delivered. No frills (meaning no hotel amenities such as pool, gym, room service, bar, etc.)... More

Stayed here for 5 nights and would not stay anywhere else if we go back to Boston! Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help giving us lots of helpful tourist advice. The hotel was cosy and comfortable and we were able to upgrade rooms while there at no extra cost, each room was better than the last! Great... More

After reviewing trip advisor comments I booked the Samuel Sewall Inn for 2 nights. I was in town visiting my daughter who lives in Brookline. The Inn was located in a great location ... close to the "T" and Coolidge Corner. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very good with both a hot... More

This is a really darn comfortable inn. The furniture is quirky-quaint - but the place is quiet, the staff are friendly, the room is as clean and as organized as a five star hotel. If I want to be churlish my room didn't have a desk. Other rooms do and if this matters to you ask when you book. But... More

This B&B made a recent stay in Boston extremely good. The room (after changing to a larger one) was just large enough to spend a little time in doing work; the bathroom simple. A wonderful plus was a real breakfast that changed daily that had great variety. In addition the staff of the Inn was consistently helpful. There were some... More

I went to college in Boston and this was my first trip back to Boston since graduation. I found this place on living social. It was so convenient to the T and was an easy walk to go to Fenway (GO SOX!). The innkeepers were very nice and the breakfasts were great everyday! The room was a traditional Victorian room... More
