This was our first trip to Boston, and we had a wonderful time. Meg was super! She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and offered tips and directions so that our stay would be worry-free. Our room was comfortable and Meg always put out a lovely table of goodies for breakfast. Transportation is close by, so this... More

Having just returned home from Boston today I am excited to write this review for the Hilltop B&B and Meg (the very welcoming owner/manager)! We found this to be one of the most reasonable options in Boston- particularly when the Yankees were playing the Red Soxs. Having never stayed at a B&B before I didn't know what to expect going... We stayed 4 nights at this B&B in June 2015 in the room with two single beds and shared bath. We found it to be very comfortable; in fact we did not even hear or see the occupants of the other two rooms, so sharing the bathroom was no problem. Meg is a great hostess and we had interesting conversations.... More

Came during the winter holidays. I chose to stay at the Hilltop to be near my family, who I was visiting. Lovely breakfast, and even lovelier host - Meg was organized, has a sharp eye for her guests' needs, and was very helpful and accommodating, especially with my sudden unexpected travel plan changes! She also gave me her flan recipe... More

Meg was a wonderful hostess. The continental breakfast was simple but very good and enjoyable. Meg answered our questions about the area, provided helpful suggestions and recommendations. The other guests were extremely friendly shared their pleasure with the accommodations as well. The bathroom was very clean, light and airy. At 6 foot 1 inch the full size bed was short... More

My husband and I visited Boston in October and stayed at Hilltop Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights. Meg was a friendly, helpful and generous host. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. The area is lovely and there is easy access to the city on the T. We enjoyed our stay and happily recommend this B&B.

While my stay was generally acceptable, I was very concerned about safety and security as there are no locks at this B&B. Neither rooms nor front door were locked thus I had to carry any valuables with me. The location is great, and while I'm sure it's a very safe neighborhood, I will not stay again in a place without... More

My wife and I had a conference to attend downtown in early September. We were completely unfamiliar with Boston prior to staying at Hilltop. Meg taught me how to use the "T" (Boston's trolley/subway system) and made us feel at home. The T is within walking distance. She packed us a breakfast to take on the T with us each... More
