Beacon 1750 was perfect for our purposes. This is a charming three floor center hall colonial walkup inn. Rooms are furnished in colonial style with beautiful hardwood floors. Beds were clean and comfortable. Our room on the third floor was clean and comfortable. Although check-in is supposed to be before 8pm, the front desk man stayed until we arrived at... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Beacon Inn recently for an overnight. We called ahead as requested to say we would be arriving after 8 pm so they had instructions waiting for us at the Inn, just as they said they would. The manager was there and was very helpful showing us the room. It's an older building, which... More

BE WARNED: This "Inn" will charge your credit card upon arrival. The front desk employees were clearly undertrained and lacked management, which manifested in a lack of confidence. Customer service was unbelievably bad, but not because the people were rude, just because they were untrained and did not have the resources to support them. This building has such potential. I... I got the least expensive room. It was basically all the way to the attic and during the winter I appreciate the heat, but it kept rising! I had a very hard time to be able to sleep the second night! I enjoyed the memory foam mattress. Room was tiny and the shower was very, very small! They picked up... More

this hotel is the worst hotel I have ever lived. It is a very old and small building, with very old beds. The sheets is very dirty, the bath room is too small. If you live in this Inn, your nightmare will begin.

The managers there are very good. Not bad traffic. Good facilities around. Complimentary breakfast is enough. I guess you could even have those cereals as free dinner if you stay up late until both managers are away.

The Beacon Inn is right before the center of Boston (just a few metro stop). Easy to reach and a little bit cheaper than other hotels right in Boston center. Brookline is a quiet area, perfect for families and couples. If you have a car you have to pay 25$ per night to park it in the hotel spots as... More

I stayed at Beacon Inn 1750 while visiting a friend in Brookline in early December 2014. The inn feels like an old home, which is fine. But when I went to bed that night, I found several hairs on the pillows and bed sheet. Clearly, the sheets had not been changed! There was no one at the front desk, so... More

We booked a room at the Beacon Inn for the week of Oct 4th through the 11th. The Beacon Inn's online reservation system quoted an unbelievably low price of $32 per night for a full size bed at the 1750 location. Because of the low price I called to verify that indeed that would be the price for the reservation.... More
