I have stayed in this B&B 2 times, both in cold weather. The radiators spew out heat despite claims that you can adjust the heat. In 1 room I slept not even using a sheet I was so hot. In another, I had to wrap the radiator in a quilt and still didn't use a sheet. We're talking about when... More

We stayed in the beacon inn for holiday purpose. We bought a metro card and from the inn we toured Boston. The inn is clean and located in an old house. We missed the breakfast room, because we needed to bring our breakfast 3 levels higher, which was inconvinient.

Loved our stay at the Beacon Inn. It was nice to stay in an actual neighborhood, as opposed to the touristy locations. And the train stop was a block away, for an easy ride downtown (30 min total) Rooms were quite airy and roomy...and SPOTLESS-so clean we could have eaten off the bathroom floor. Staff is polite and helpful. Bed... More

We enjoyed our stay at 1750 Beacon Street. It was a comfortable place to lay our head for the night. The staff was great and very helpful. What would have made our stay a little better?... Having a place in the room to sit...like a table with chairs or a small couch with a coffee table. There was just one... More

We felt that our stay at the Beacon Inn 1750 allowed us the opportunity to be in a Boston neighborhood thus experiencing the real rather than the tourist Boston. The accommodations were clean, staff friendly and location convenient for wherever we wished to go. On our return home we missed the sound of the streetcar which lulled us to sleep... More

My stay at the Beacon Inn was nice. It's a small hotel, but with the necessary services. Excellent staff attention. Problems I found: No elevator though they are only 2 floors. The floor is wooden and this creates noise. It was nice They always HAD snacks at the looby

Great room with a lot of old charm. A/C was too small for our room. Great price & location. Train to Boston is right across the street. Martin was always helpful even when our TV would kept losing cable connection. .Excellent caring staff, Martin & Laura

I decided to stay at this Inn due to location and price. The room appeared nice, but don't turn out the lights. Giant roaches were running around the floor and trying to join me in bed. It was very difficult to sleep for my business trip.Had to leave the lights on to ward off these bugs. If you like company... More

We would like to stress that despite the lack of any credible evidence to substantiate this disgusting claim, in order to appease this guest and allow him to take his business elsewhere, we gave him the option of checking out 2 days early with a full refund; however the guest insisted upon staying for his remaining 2 nights. This seems... More

Beacon 1750 was perfect for our purposes. This is a charming three floor center hall colonial walkup inn. Rooms are furnished in colonial style with beautiful hardwood floors. Beds were clean and comfortable. Our room on the third floor was clean and comfortable. Although check-in is supposed to be before 8pm, the front desk man stayed until we arrived at... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Beacon Inn recently for an overnight. We called ahead as requested to say we would be arriving after 8 pm so they had instructions waiting for us at the Inn, just as they said they would. The manager was there and was very helpful showing us the room. It's an older building, which... More
