On paper and the web the Beacon Inn looks like a great historic place to stay - not so true in person. When I asked the staff where I could go for food, they responded like I was a burden for asking. They then directed me about nine blocks to an area where there was food. I later found a... More

This is so far one of my favorite B&B around the world. It has the best location, just seconds away from the "T". The staff are so friendly that I thought I landed at the wrong city (wink) & they all wear a genuine smile. The rooms are efficient and clean. Nice and decent breakfast. Can't imagine ever being disappointed.... More

With all other area hotels priced at 200 a night or higher no one can argue the price is good. But let's be real. Yes the staff is very nice. Yes the location is very convenient. If quaint is another word for Old then this place is extremely quaint. Very clean though. Our room was a king room on the... More

I was coming from a long distance away, and my arrival was very late. I called ahead, and they were great. Always polite, and had everything from my roomkey to the parking space (and full instructions on how to get there) organized when I arrived (exhausted). My accommodations weren't luxurious, but they were completely functional and afforded me a good... More

The Beacon Inn lived up to all the expectations I had of it. It was very quaint and located on a great block directly across from public transportation. Check in and check out were very easy and the room was clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better place for our weekend get a way.

Clean, tidy, charming but eccentric room, no closet odd shape & lighting but absolutely perfect w fantastic location (although closer to town wd be ideal but then more $$). Staff is friendly, efficient young & alert! Great deal on the T line--everything ez access. Great deal! I encourage you to book!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Beacon Inn 1750. It has a great location to the city of Boston. The "T" line is almost right outside the front entrance. Take the C line into the city and go exploring. Parking at the rear of the building costs $25 a day. Make sure they have... More

We stayed in the JFK room which had 2 double beds. We got a deal on expedia for $99 for the night midweek. We arrived late so the Inn Keeper left our keys for us. The whole place is beautiful Old New England style cottage. The continental breakfast is just cold cereal and some granola bars, skip that. You get... More

This is now my third time to stay with Beacon Inn in Brookline and I enjoy my stay every time. It is not your run of the mill hotel chain so you don't have all the big time immenities, but if you are looking for the "different" stay this is it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is... More
