We booked 2 rooms at Beacon Inn 1750 through Bednbreakfast.com. When I booked the rooms, I let the woman know that we had a gift certificate and she told me that she would have to bill the "whole deposit" and that when we arrived, she would refund the deposit when I presented my gift certificate. When we checked in, the... More

My wife and I had to spend a couple of days in Brookline (visiting our children and grandchildren) this past week, and after searching the many hotel and motel accommodations available, we decided to give the Beacon Inn 1750 a try. It was very difficult to book almost any room in a decently rated hotel in the area for under... More

My mother and I stayed for 3 nights in the middle of the week and would absolutely stay again. Our room on the 1st floor - right off the lobby - was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and could assist us with dining choices, transportation and how to best get around. I admit... More

After reading the reviews on this place I was kinda worried to book a room here. But I was pleasantly surprised. The room was large, clean, and quiet. The girl at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. The building is a bit out of date, but hardly falling apart. The only issue I had was the AC unit... More

My daughter and I needed a clean and affordable place to stay for one night while we visited Boston colleges. Knowing that most hotels were going to be way too expensive I was losing hope ... until I found the Beacon Inn, a charming Victorian brownstone on Beacon Street. Located in Brookline, its a short distance to tbe city, accesible... More

Location was good across street from trolly. The lack of maintenance and poor hotel condition caused us to flee as soon as possible. For want of some paint, cleaning and general old, old furniture condition this could be a nice stay. The cleanliness was not even up to the worst chain hotel standards.

We stayed with my parents at the Inn for almost a week. The best aspects of our stay were the lovely neighborhood, the Inn itself with its hospitable receptionists and the large size of our room. Breakfast was alright as well, though it would have been nice to have a bit more space (for preparation and sitting). I would recommend... More

We've lived in Brookline for 18 years and really liked making our last stay here in this made-over townhouse. Adapted rather than restored, the interior retains the character of the original habitat and reminded us of our own story of fixing up and adapting our century-old house to our family needs. It doesn't matter that elegance of the original style... More

The room was clean and comfortable, we were only there to sleep. The air conditioner worked well and the continental breakfast even though it was basic, it was fine! We had some cereal and a muffin. The staff member was nice and called a taxi the two times we requested it. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was very big and the bed was comfy, but the furniture needed a little refurbishment. Staff were quite friendly. There are only 3 parking spaces for guests, and paid parking is about 2 blocks away for $20.00 per night. The tram runs right outside on the street, so if you wanted to you could use transit to anywhere... More
