The owner was very accommodating - they were actually booked b/c it was during the Boston Marathon but the owner went out of his way to accommodate us in what would've normally been a long-term stay apartment. The hotel desk host was super friendly and helpful as well - he pointed out some areas I could explore as my friends... More

Light, spacious rooms (at least mine was), kind people and a good location, next to a metro stop. The breakfast is basic and there is no separate breakfast room. Still I recommend to go there, it is a good deal.

This place is def. more bed than breakfast. The rooms are basic, the bathrooms small. That being said, the staff is courteous and knowledgeable of the area, C line is, quite literally, right outside, and its a great value. If you plan to spend your trip to Boston seeing the sights and really just need a place to crash this... More

Just checked out today after staying 2 nights. Both Doug and Martin were a pleasure to interact with. I have mixed experience with this place. The pluses: 1. Location. Great location. An upmarket and quiet safe area, with townhouses. Even the exterior of this inn looks like a townhouse. Across the street is star plus, a superstore where you can... More

After reading the recent reviews I was concerned about staying here, but it was wonderful. Clean, quaint, comfortable, with quality hosts. Nice light breakfast. The location to the train is only steps away. Walking distance to lovely restaurants, Starbucks and coffee shops. Beautiful neighbourhood. Friendly and safe. Park nearby. Definitely will stay here if when we come back to the... More

I reserved a room at the Inn 6/24/2015 for one night. I read the reviews and saw the warning about no elevator and the very low ceilings on the 4th floor. So I called and spoke with a man about our concern of no elevator. He said, no problem. Room #6 on the 2nd floor is available. So we reserved... More

Old school B&B with flower wallpaper, wood furniture and a basic breakfast. King bed was kinda soft but comfy. AC & TV worked fine, plenty of closet space, and large bathroom. Girlfriend approved of the cleanliness so that's all I need. I paid for parking in one of their 6 spots out back. If all the spots are all full... More

On the outside, Beacon Inn looks like an old house. But don't be deceived by its exterior. Rooms at Beacon Inn are very comfortable -- rooms are spacious, beds are big, comforter and pillows smell clean. For its small facade, I was surprised that Beacon Inn has many big rooms. I'm very particular about bathrooms and Beacon Inn 1750's didn't... More

Nice and clean, cute bed and breakfast atmosphere. Free continental breakfast. Staff made us feel comfortable and you can park your car for $25 a day. They just ask you to leave your keys at desk, if car needs to be moved, lot behind hotel is small.

After being unable to enter three guests in the inn's website reservation app, I called to confirm that we had three guests. Although it wasn't listed on our reservation, the young man who checked us in said, "uh oh, oops," when I told him there would be three guests, as if I had made an error. He then told me... More
