After reading the reviews on this place I was kinda worried to book a room here. But I was pleasantly surprised. The room was large, clean, and quiet. The girl at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. The building is a bit out of date, but hardly falling apart. The only issue I had was the AC unit... More

My daughter and I needed a clean and affordable place to stay for one night while we visited Boston colleges. Knowing that most hotels were going to be way too expensive I was losing hope ... until I found the Beacon Inn, a charming Victorian brownstone on Beacon Street. Located in Brookline, its a short distance to tbe city, accesible... More

Location was good across street from trolly. The lack of maintenance and poor hotel condition caused us to flee as soon as possible. For want of some paint, cleaning and general old, old furniture condition this could be a nice stay. The cleanliness was not even up to the worst chain hotel standards.

We stayed with my parents at the Inn for almost a week. The best aspects of our stay were the lovely neighborhood, the Inn itself with its hospitable receptionists and the large size of our room. Breakfast was alright as well, though it would have been nice to have a bit more space (for preparation and sitting). I would recommend... More

We've lived in Brookline for 18 years and really liked making our last stay here in this made-over townhouse. Adapted rather than restored, the interior retains the character of the original habitat and reminded us of our own story of fixing up and adapting our century-old house to our family needs. It doesn't matter that elegance of the original style... More

The room was clean and comfortable, we were only there to sleep. The air conditioner worked well and the continental breakfast even though it was basic, it was fine! We had some cereal and a muffin. The staff member was nice and called a taxi the two times we requested it. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was very big and the bed was comfy, but the furniture needed a little refurbishment. Staff were quite friendly. There are only 3 parking spaces for guests, and paid parking is about 2 blocks away for $20.00 per night. The tram runs right outside on the street, so if you wanted to you could use transit to anywhere... More

This is truly a hidden gem in Boston. The room was very clean and the staff was super helpful. They offered a nice light breakfast in the morning and really enjoyed talking to the other guests. I will defiantly be back!

On paper and the web the Beacon Inn looks like a great historic place to stay - not so true in person. When I asked the staff where I could go for food, they responded like I was a burden for asking. They then directed me about nine blocks to an area where there was food. I later found a... More
