Have been staying here for a decade. Everything about this place is wonderful from beds to breakfast. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Very comfortable sitting room, porch and deck. Close (1block) to T, can walk to Boston if you desire (1 hour). Snacks available all day, major newspapers delivered daily. Less than 20 min to the Pike.

We discovered The Bertram Inn in March of 2013 and have stayed there four times in 3 different rooms (our favorite is the 3rd Floor aerie). It is charming, cozy and so convenient to the "T" Stop. And Brookline has great shops and restaurants that are all within walking distance from The Bertram. We have family in Boston and travel... More

I spent only one night at this delightful Bed and Breakfast, but wish I could have stayed longer. The staff is cordial and helpful, and the decor is charming. Snacks and baked items are available all day, and breakfast included a hot breakfast casserole, fresh fruit, yogurt, an assortment of baked goods, and cereals. I returned to the inn after... More

We stayed two nights with friends, and found the inn to be clean and comfortable. The location is great for visiting Boston, and a short walk to Brookline restaurants and shops. About the only drawback was the breakfast. Nice, but pretty basic, not much more than you might find at any chain hotel offering free breakfast. The times we've stayed... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights in the Bertram Inn in October 2013 at the start of a 2 week trip around New England. The location is fantastic - Brookline is a lovely leafy suburb of Boston, and the inn is just a couple of minutes walk to the St. Paul 'T' stop on Beacon Street. Mind you, we... More

A charming place in a quiet location, close enough and yet away. Beautiful decor, rich and tasty breakfast, definitively a place to return to. We arrived late after a long flight, so it was a great calming and relaxing situation. Visiting Boston for a couple of days, this Inn served as an anchor for this part of our trip.

Full disclaimer: I am not overly fond of B&B's. The Bertram delivered better than most in availability of tea and coffee at all times, accommodating late check in and availability of newspapers. The one thing I usually do like about B&B's fell short: the breakfast. There was a table laden with starches, a large bowl of melon, with very few... More

We stayed at the Bertram Inn Oct 12-14 while visiting our daughter in Boston. It was delightful. The location was wonderful. A 5 minute walk to the T or to Coolidge Corner with its many shops and restaurants. Our room was beautiful with a comfortable Duxiana Bed and down pillow decorated with period furniture but yet a HD TV and... More

I've stayed twice at this inn and for the most part, it's a good place to stay. It's very conveniently located to the charming town of Brookline with lots of restaurants, etc. What I really like is the constant availability of snacks in the lobby area, hot tea, coffee, etc. There's also a good selection of newspapers in the morning... We were at the Inn fro September 12 thru the 16th. Arrived at Logan and were transported to Brookline by Smurfs Transportation, which is a very customer service oriented company. The Bertram Inn is a delightful place to stay! The staff is welcoming and very helpful and make every effort to make you feel at home. Ask them anything about... More
