My wife and I stayed at the Longwood Inn over the Easter weekend.  When we arrived Rhonda greeted us with a smile.  She took exceptionally good care of us while we were there.  This Inn was not only beautifully decorated, but was immaculate.  Our room was very large for two people and the bathroom was just beautiful.  It is very... Lovely property in a great location in Brookline.....but, some issues in the 'execution' here. - Staff was not especially friendly at checkout - probably less friendly than a hotel, not expected at an inn like this. Maids argued in public in the hallway. - Towels not delivered as the room was changed. Coffee cups left in room after our use.... More

Second stay and unpleasant surprises : the quality / size of the rooms vary a lot for the same price. I asked for a specific room 45 days ahead and did not get it or an explanation. Customer satisfaction is not a concern of Manager John, who is always busy with something else. Besides an old mattress there were only... More

The Longwood Inn was designed and built about a century ago as a private home. It was not originally intended to be an inn or hotel so the rooms were not planned with that in mind. As a result, rooms were made different sizes and shapes depending on what their intended use would be. When it was converted into an... More

We just spent one night at the Longwood Inn and were very satisfied. The Inn is nicely decorated and immaculately clean. It is just a 2 block walk to the T station. We attended a show at House of Blues which is right across the street from Fenway. It was a 20 minute walk from Longwood Inn which proved to... More

The Longwood Inn is located between the medical center and Coolidge Corner, and most of what you need is within walking distance. The common kitchen and bathrooms appear to be recently updated and are attractive. Room 1 where we stayed is secluded and very quiet with great lighting. The inn overlooks a park / school playground and has gorgeous old... More

This is my go to place to stay in the Boston area. They have kept the Eastlake Victorian decor of the building while updating the guest rooms and bathrooms. Quite lovely. The beds are soft and comfortable. Each room is unique. There is a washer and dryer on the ground floor for guest use that comes in handy. Parking is... More

I spent one night at the Longwood Inn in Brookline and found it comfortable, clean, and in a perfect location for me. The up-to-date bathroom is a plus, the beds comfy, the TV convenient, overall cleanliness just top notch. I will return for sure. Management was very welcoming and efficient - both telephone reservations and on site person. It was... More

Stayed here for a month while working at Children's Hospital Boston. Ideal location in quiet and safe neighborhood; 3 min walk to the Longwood T stop, 8-10 min walk to Children's, 5 min walk to Trader Joe's, CVS, and cafes in Coolidge Corner. Rooms were clean and adequate, but expect only bar soap and shampoo. Rooms are cozy (not giant),... More

Great location. Excellent value. Free parking and friendly staff. Bed was on the small side which was OK for us at 250 Lbs. total weight. Would be a tight fit for larger people. Mattress was way too soft but OK for one night. Room looked like it had a recent renovation including the bath. The inn had lots of charm.... More

There apparently was a misunderstanding regarding the dates when this reservation was taken. I did not take the reservation myself and I cannot say if it was the inn’s fault, the guest’s fault or a combination of the two. According to our reservation records, the booking at the Longwood Inn for Jarlan was for Thursday and Friday nights. Why he... More
