For some reason I wanted to save on cash when I had a BU reunion. Well the first night I stayed I woke up the next morning itching! Unaware that I was bitten by bedbugs, I asked the staff to put new sheets because I though I was having some skin reactions to the sheets. On the second day I... More

This review, which has been posted 4 months after the supposed dates of stay is categorically untrue. The management staff does not believe this guest ever stayed at our property. We have regular inspections conducted by professionals and do not have any such incidence. More

I recently stayed multiple nights at the Beacon Inn, at their 1087 Beacon Street location (there are 2 Beacon Inns....same company, so be careful to know which one). The price was great given what hotel prices were in the area and the location handy. However, the rooming situation was not wonderful. I was on the third floor (not told that... More

we had never stayed in Brookline before. I discovered the Beacon Inn by doing an Internet search for cheap hotels in the area. The location of the beacon in is perfect. It is about 30 minutes to Boston, 30 minutes to Cambridge. It's very centrally located and it is directly across the street from a T station. The breakfast part... More

This was the perfect Boston experience for us! The character building was cozy, charming, safe, and it's location was very convenient to get downtown. Minutes from downtown on the T, with the stop right outside the door. Coffee shops and Whole Foods across the street. The staff was very helpful, and friendly. This will be our new Boston home away... More

Spent 2 nights at the Beacon Inn. Pros: Location is great. Right by a T stop. Whole Foods across the street, restaurants as well. We stayed in the Kenmore Room #6 which is quite large and has 2 comfortable queen beds. A little desk in the bay window overlooking Beacon, I liked that. The stair cases are all wood, very... More

False advertisement on parking, breakfast and room. The smell in the room was terrible. TV didn't work at all. We asked to be checked but they didn't since college girls are running the place. The bathroom was put together with nails and screws. The tub has no back splash just a vinyl curtain held by screws and wires; with no... More

I stayed here in Sept 2014. I was visiting my nephew who is a student in Boston, but lives in Brookline. I wanted to explore Boston as well, while he attended classes. I found the Beacon Inn at Trip Advisor and chose this place for several reasons. I had to use public transport because I did not want to rent... More

I stayed in the Beacon Room. The bathroom is small and lacked a plug in the sink. However, it met my needs. The staff tried very hard to be accommodating; holding my parking space for me when my stay was a little longer than 24 hours, calling cabs, giving directions, etc. The Inn is very accessible to trains, BU campus,... The Beacon Inn is in a nice location in Brookline. Convenient to both Kenmore Square as well as points west e.g. Coolidge Corner and other green line stops, it affords easy access to many shopping and local eatery joints for the out of town traveler. Our room, Beacon, did have an en suite bathroom but it was a converted closet... More
