We stayed four nights while we went to class from 8:30am to 5pm. We needed something good for the soul and found it at the Briar Rose Inn. We stayed in the French Towle room. The room is large the ensuite is small but adequate. The inn is a true Craftsman with large rooms. I enjoyed some time in the... More

Wanted to like this place, especially since it is the only B & B in Vancouver (not sure why). As others have mentioned, Ted's breakfasts are wonderful. They are very well prepared, lots of flavor and variety. What seems lacking is some of the attention to detail found in other B & B s. It is somewhat unusual not to... More

This great B&B is just 10 miles (15 minutes) from PDX. Just cross the bridge into Vancouver and you'll find this great place to stay. The Inn is located in the City Center (a small but upscale and pleasant area), with restaurants close enough to walk or just a short drive. Briar Rose has at least 4 rooms, each uniquely... More

Loved our stay here, took a chance and came out a winner. Filled with charm and impeccably clean. Reasonably priced. In town but after 11pm it gets very quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Totally recommend and will go back again when we visit family! Thank you Briar Rose Inn :)

We've stayed here a number of times and it feels like a home-away-from-home now. I'm not normally a B&B guy, but I look forward to Ted's breakfasts and usually get into conversations with the guests and hosts, not my strong suit. Sallie's gardens are a delight, and the Victorian house is beautifully maintained and appointed. You can tell that this... More

We fell in love with the Briar Rose Inn! What a delightful find! It is a charming home in the heart of downtown Vancouver with easy access to Portland. Our room was charming and very comfortable. All of the inn's four available rooms are on the second floor, and are large. Ted and Sallie are as kind and gracious as... More

We were ending our Oregon/Washington vacation and were looking for a B&B or hotel in Portland, to be near the airport for our flight the next day. The rates in Portland were more than we wanted to spend so we looked at Vancouver. We were most surprised at the very reasonable rate and with the excellent reviews we decided to... More

Wanted to spend 1 night in Portland, but the prices were sky high, so we thought we'd "settle" for Vancouver. This beautiful B and B was much more than we expected. Comfortable, quiet, with an excellent breakfast the next morning, on the Desert Rose china that my mother owned:). (And we had fun in Vancouver, too!) The neighborhood is very... More

Lovely turn-of-the-20th century home with four, individually designed rooms--two with ensuite bathrooms--off the landing on the second floor. The owners lovingly restored and decorated this charming downtown home into a bed and breakfast and serve wholesome and hearty breakfasts with full service silver and china. It is easy to find and there is off-street parking for 2 cars. Close to... More

Enjoyed every moment of 1-week stay, sharing "French Provence" room with local friend. House is even more beautiful than web photos show. Delighted to be served daily 2-course breakfast by Ted. Exquisite decor collected over time by Sallie. Location is quiet and peaceful, with spotless modern amenities. Just 4 blocks from Esther Short Park, Farmers Market, and Starbucks! Avoid the... More
