First the good: The bed was comfortable, temperature control was good, location was scenic and the room was clean. Now the bad: The room had some maintenance issues. There were missing switch plates, the smoke detector was dangling from the wall, the balcony railing was rotted (one kick would have sent it to the patio below...dangerous), and the added breakfast... This hotel is in a prime location on the Columbia River near walking path, restaurants and downtown. BUT, hotel is in dire need of a remodel. Our first room had filthy carpeting. Changed to another room which had a view of the river. Sounds good but could hardly turn around in the bathroom. Carpeting and fixtures are just old as... More

We chose to stay here as my in laws adored this site when then lived here. Sadly, Red Lion has allowed the facility to age and has not kept the place very clean or updated. Bathroom caulking has more mold than bleu cheese. Rugs are not clean and rooms smell musty. Covers are absent on electrical sockets. The pool is... More

This hotel has old hotel smell for sure. Room was extremely small and had no ironing board. I called twice for an ironing board and was assured that one would come but never did. Staff was very nice though. Beautiful location along the river.

We stayed here during a huge event which was being part of was being hosted at this hotel and they had a wedding also, the staff was very professional and pleasant even with the chaos which was going around! Room was clean, we had a wonderful view of the water. Room was quiet even though there was lots of people... More

I was there for kumoricon and had a wonderful time. The staff was very nice unfortunately even after I called the front desk to get our sheets changed they didn't change our sheets the whole time we were there(6 days). Also they only took our trash out once. All in all it was a great stay!

The staff was courteous, friendly, and quite accommodating, the room was clean and very spacious, everything was well laid-out and easy to find. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, the pool was a lot of fun, and the view of the Columbia river right outside the window was simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. The only problem was very small: when... More

There is no better location in this area, with the river (and its lovely walking path) right outside the door. You are outside the Portland/Vancouver traffic mayhem, yet close to everything you need to access for a successful business trip.

I was here for Kumori-Con, and had booked my room months in advance to assure that I would get a room with two queen beds. I called a month beforehand to reconfirm, and again the night before arrival to confirm. When I got to the hotel, they were sold out of rooms with two queen beds. Shawn was working the... More

I was there for a business event. The staff was great, stayed right on top of things for us. Had a meal in between sessions and everything was prepared and served on time. Our meeting room was clean and ready for us each day. Our sleeping room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They have a restaurant... More
