This was the first time here and the place is showing it's age. That said, the check in staff was great and the room was a good size and clean. Had a great view of the river. Price was very reasonable. Be careful what discount you use when booking, not all get the free breakfast. AARP and AAA work. As... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, it was quiet (except from a few jets from the Portland Airport). It has a large pool, but I did not use it. The room was clean and staff were friendly. They were doing road construction out front but I did not hear a thing. I did not try the restaurant/bar. There... More

The staff was friendly and very efficient. The price was excellent and the room was quiet and clean. Easy access to Portland freeways. The Starbucks up the street for early morning coffee is easy to get to and not crowded. All in all, a good experience

The hotel is located right along the banks of the Columbia River. Our room was on the side of the river and it was very relaxing to watch the boats go rolling down the river. The bridge that spans the river to the other side was also very busy. The view was fantastic and if you love rivers this is... More

The Red Lion at Vancouver Quay is a hotel with a friendly/accommodating staff and excellent location (to Portland) - but as others has stated, the hotel is older and is showing its wear. We arrived here for an overnight couples stay for Labor Day Weekend. The front staff girl (I forgot her name - we checked in Saturday May 23rd... More

The hotel appears to be pretty old. Walls in the hallway were scuffed up and dirty, elevator floor was filthy. Doors into the rooms are dirty and need to be replaced. The bed was comfortable but there was no Wi-Fi in the room the front desk said I would have to use the internet connection in the lobby. The desk... More

We arrived with a ball team full of teenagers for a tournament across the bridge in Portland. Tired after a long day of travel, the registration desk had a long line-up, approximately 20 minutes, with no sign of extra staff available for the front desk. However, she was friendly and efficient once we got there. Rooms were decent, with great... More

We stayed here a couple of nights for a fun party type convention of a social group we've been seeing for decades. The group has used this hotel a number of times, and it has always been a crowd favorite. This time, however, the parking lot was all torn up due to some new development nearby. Some of the buildings... More

The hotel room was comfortable, and quiet. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The parking lot was still under construction, dusty and inconvenient, especially for handicapped parking spaces. The bathroom was very small and not wheelchair accessible.

We booked our room through Priceline, bidding on 3 star hotels. This was clearly a one star from the outside. Looked like a Salvation Army homeless shelter. Once inside, it improved, but had a strong 80's vibe with carpeting and popcorn ceilings, and very low ones I might add. The room was simple, clean and they had tried to improve... More
