No question the owners have tried to update this old motel in the middle of a faded city. TV new, Internet free and ok, beds comfy. But... Rugs not clean, stains on bedding, bathroom tiny (with fixtures from 1950). As others have stated, no breakfast, 10 percent discount at attached Denny's. I made a reservation through expedia. They mistakenly booked me twice for the same night. The manager "Peter" told me that expedia made the booking and he would not refund the second charge. Expedia told me they would not refund the money unless the hotel agreed. The hotel said they "knew it was a mistake, but it was there policy".... More

Having stayed at this hotel once before, we expected adequate service this time around. However, we were rather unpleasantly surprised to find that conditions at the hotel seemed to have deteriorated. It is better to stay in Utica than Rome for better selection. This motel has gone through upgrades but is still just average for the price. In an urban location with lots of traffic. Very nice hotel. The front desk person was very gracious when I checked in. I heard him advise a group of younger people checking in with "beverages" that excessive noise would not be tolerated. WOW! Hotel is ok, a little older and way way off the highway, not convenient. A nice updated bathroom- A++ The biggest problem is a 10% off at Denny for your breakfast offering. I love Quality Inns and usually give them five stars. This has some issues they can easily resolve. Firstly, this is a Quality Inn that is being refurbished. Had a room with an adjoining door and you could hear the guy in the next room talking on his cell phone....and he talked a lot! Room size was ok and was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. The Denny's that is hooked to the hotel was better than other Denny's I have eaten at.
