I have been staying at this property for many years. As stated above there are not many lodging choices in Rome. There is a brand new Wyngate Inn now open. It is a lot more expensive than the Quality Inn. The rooms here are old and in need of updating, the management does do a little work to the property... more

I was TOTALLY shocked! I didn't expect the rooms to be so nice! The room was clean but also decorated beautifully, Nice bedding, and a refrigerator, microwave and FREE internet (I had to pay $10 a daY when I stayed at a Marriott. We were facing the pool (outdoor) and had our own private little balcony! The mattresses MUST be... more

Thank you so much for your kind words. We have been making upgrades to our hotel with renovations both inside and out! One of the improvements has been all new bedding and linens, new carpeting and upgrades to 32" flat screen televisions. We have also added cozy recliners in our King rooms! Please come and visit us again when you...

We were in town visiting a friend when I called to make a reservation for that same evening. My husband did not want to stay there since they have no smoking rooms at all. I called back to cancel 10 minutes later and was told by the owner/manager that I needed to cancel 24 hours in advance. I told him... more

This place was beyond disgusting. The staff was ignorant of all attractions nearby including the fort directly across the street from the property. The room, oh how to describe the filth. The tub was covered in cigarette burns, there were hairs on the toilet seat, a colony of ants were living under the garbage can, I found a white "substance"... more

This hotel is very rude. We ended up cancelling our reservation the day before our intented stay due to sickness in the family. They stated to us that we would be liable for $25.00 per room for the cancellation. When I received my credit card statement they had charged the full price for a 1 night stay. When we called... more

Myself, my boyfriend, and his friend stayed here when they had to take the NYSPP test in Utica. I've read over the other reviews that are posted and they sound like a totally different place... they must have done a renovation. This is not a 5 star hotel by any means but the staff was friendly and our room was... more

Me and my family of four were passing through NY. We decided to stay in the Quality Inn. What we thought would be a pleasant motel was the biggest SHAMBLES we had ever come across. At the reception stood a small dark Indian man. He was on the phone on a personal call. We told him that we'd like a... more

All I can say is what a dump! I walked in to the Quality Inn expecting a clean comfortable no frills hotel. What I got would make you shudder. There was black mold growing in the shower area. When I complained at the front desk, I was told that I could take it or leave it but they had no... more

Be warned - This motel will reserve a room on line that they do not have. While having my floors redone in my home we booked 2 rooms in this motel using my choice rewards points. Upon arrival I was told that they did not have that room type anymore, not that they were full, they just don't have queen... more

I would not recommend that my dog stay at this location. I went for a weekend w/ my two children(both under 10, yet over 5) one of which is asthmatic. I requested a non smoking room recieved a room that was a smoking room with the sign off the door. I was quoted one price, but was overcharged $40.00 per... more
