Having stayed at this hotel once before, we expected adequate service this time around. However, we were rather unpleasantly surprised to find that conditions at the hotel seemed to have deteriorated. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was indifferent to our previously submitted request for a cot; they said they'd call us when they found one but we never recieved... More

It is better to stay in Utica than Rome for better selection. This motel has gone through upgrades but is still just average for the price. In an urban location with lots of traffic. Denny's is attached to the building so good or bad depending on your needs. It was hard to get the room warm. Internet was strong. Bed... More

Very nice hotel. The front desk person was very gracious when I checked in. I heard him advise a group of younger people checking in with "beverages" that excessive noise would not be tolerated. WOW! That impressed me! Most properties care more about the money than other guests' comfort. Only stayed one night, but the room was comfortable with an... More

Hotel is ok, a little older and way way off the highway, not convenient. A nice updated bathroom- A++ The biggest problem is a 10% off at Denny for your breakfast offering. No breakfast, just pay for a breakfast and get 10% off. Basically nothing. If you do not like Denny's as I do, you are forced to go there... More

I love Quality Inns and usually give them five stars. This has some issues they can easily resolve. Firstly, this is a Quality Inn that is being refurbished. My room was VERY comfortable, great tv, great bed. The location is really nice because you can easily get to surrounding restaurants and stores. The price is more or less typical Quality... More

The front desk staff at check in was not friendly, however a different staff was much better at check out. We had made a reservation for a ground floor room since we had our bicycles (we were riding along the Erie Canal), however they had not saved us a first floor room and we had to carry our bicycles up... This review comes from a Choice hotel Diamond member, their highest loyalty program status. This hotel is NOT the least bit business friendly; it be better to spend a bit more to stay elsewhere or if your budget does not allow that stay at the near bye Econo lodge which is about $20 a night cheaper and while their FREE... Had a room with an adjoining door and you could hear the guy in the next room talking on his cell phone....and he talked a lot! Room size was ok and was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. The Denny's that is hooked to the hotel was better than other Denny's I have eaten at.

We had stayed here some years ago, then decided to use another hotel because the bathroom ceiling was falling in. In recent years, they have been working hard at refurbishing the place, with great results, as we found when we returned there this year. New carpeting, new ceilings, new paint, new bedding, new TV, new AC/Heating. A greatly improved offering... More

We stayed here recently to attend the CapitolFest and the room was clean, neat and very reasonable. Two doors - one opened onto the courtyard and the pool, the other accessed the interior hallway. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. My only negative observation was the bathroom could have used some tweaks. It was very clean and... More
