Stopped here on my way home for one night. Worst mistake ever. PROS: Staff was friendly. CONS: When I turned on the light inside the room, it did not work. In fact, half the lights in the room did not work. The rest were very dim. The room smelled like mold and there were cobwebs everywhere. The stairs looked ready... More

Room was not taken care of , Musty smell, Apparently a pipe broke in the wall so the carpet was wet in the entry way. They moved me the next day.Cobwebs in the corners of the room. Extension cords being used and some outlets not working. Overall not a good experience. It could be a better place if they paid... More

It appears as though the property is being slowly upgraded. I hope they keep it up. The breakfast area had no place to sit. Perhaps they're going to do some re-configuring to provide for that. There was a microwave in the breakfast area, but nothing to microwave in it. There were only bagels and some sweet rolls with a toaster... More

We stayed here for the boilermaker in Utica ny in July. The hotel is awful, and scary. We didn't even want to leave our car there while we carpooled to utica. We found bass pro shops and left it there for the day. There were bugs in the bathroom and I'm pretty sure people lived in the hotel as well

This is basically your average "pay little, expect little" sort of operation. You get a room with no frills that opens to the outdoors, not an interior hallway. There was a paper in the room saying that the management cares about quality, but the line for the name of the housekeeper wasn't even filled in. There was one peppermint, though... More

Unfortunately we stayed 2 nights. I don't believe the sheets were clean even the first night, definitely not changed the second night. The lighting is poor - very low wattage bulbs! Outlets can't handle even charging a phone. The mattresses weren't very good, the bedspread hasn't been washed in I don't know how long- grime around the edges. There was... More

Avoid this location at all costs. No choice in booking a hotel as work selects the cheapest place. To start the place is poorly lit and difficult to find. No lights in the parking lot and the seedy people who appear to reside within this location require you to look over your shoulder. Check in was ok but the real... More

Stayed here for one night as we wanted to visit Fort Stanwick the next morning. Our room was barely acceptable. It could have been cleaned better. There was no clock in the room. Would probably not stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel for perhaps 5 years, attending an annual event. The location is excellent for attending that event. Over that time, they have added hair dryers, refrigerators and microwave ovens. A year ago, I might have rated it as average. This year was notably different. The first day, we did not request a... There was a time when a hotel like this one would have been inviting, even charming. Unfortunately, all the reviews are correct. This place is a dump. There are some serious issues with housekeeping and cleanliness. Why should we have to ask for clean sheets at check-in or clean towels for the bathroom? Would gladly have stayed if management was...
