We stayed here for our anniversary. It was romantic, peaceful & relaxing. Miss Pat was an amazing hostess. Whether you are traveling, newly weds, a family or whatever this is a wonderful place to stay. The breakfast also is amazing. My husband and I had the eggs benedict with grilled trout. Truly amazing. Can't say enough good things about this... More

We actually stayed in the cottage owned by Lyons' Mansion. We took our family and pets for an anniversary outing. It was absolutely wonderful. It would have been nice had the master bedroom had a TV in it so that we could cuddle in bed while watching the television. They have instructions on how to access the Wi-Fi and the... More

I was in town with my teen aged daughter. Her friend had invited her to prom and we live 45 minutes away. As late as Prom activities run, we didn't want our daughter on the highway that late at night. The hotel that was recommended to us was booked but was kind and referred us to this B&B. I'm so... I recently checked in to the Colonel's Landing. What a nice place, every thing you need very convenient with a nice historic downtown area close by. I would definitely recommend this location vs a hotel in town any day of the week. The owners are very nice and the bed in my cottage is great. Love the historic location.

On my first trip into Ft Scott, I asked folks where to stay and eat. The hotel was full, but they called Lyons and booked me in, then gave me directions. It was apparent they had done this before. That was two years ago and I have been back to the Lyons Twin Mansions once per month ever since. Same... More

Not good for handicapped and breakfast is next door. But that's "the good old days" and if you want modern don't stay here... However, meshed with the old are big-screen TVs, clean modern bathrooms, etc... Several bedrooms have just been re-done. We stayed in the Adventure Room...

The glamorous Miss Pat is your generous hostess. She gave me the Royal Safari room and while it's a bit disconcerting to walk straight into the bathroom, the super high-tech walk in steam shower you see first is a thing of beauty and a joy when in it! The pressure sensitive foam mattress on the bed was incredible, so very... More

We loved our stay at the Lyons Mansions! My husband surprised me for our 1 year Anniversary with red roses, a private steak dinner and an overnight stay in the Mandalay Room. When we first arrived in our room, I was delighted with a layout of cake, strawberries and sparkling grape juice. The thoughtful man must have arranged for a... More

From the moment you meet Miss Pat to the moment you leave you will be feeling pretty special if you stay here. This 7 bedroom mansion has been tastefully furnished with period antiques but bought up to date with very comfortable mattresses, air conditioning and free wifi. Marlene (special thanks to her) guides you around the premises adding detail to... More

This time I stayed in the von Blücher Mansion and it is incredible, stuffed with history and atmosphere is just inspriing. What an opportunity to beocme part of living history in comfortable surroundings. The rooms are in keeping with the mansion, comfortable and with mod cons yet in keeping with the Mansions period. The care and hospitality shown by Miss... More
