Very pretty place. Location is fantastic, right on the river. Shops, tours quite close. It is NOT a place for families with strollers or people with mobility issues, because the elevator is quite unreliable. If you can mange the stairs, though, the staff is helpul, the rooms are lovely, the views spectacular

Easy check-in Nice room-antiques. Beautiful inside.Friendly happy hour- met a nice couple to trade stories. Easy walk to the touristy area of river street. Walk the other way and explore the squares and city market. That's the Savannah that you will remember. Only complaint was that we should have been told at check-in that our river view room ( that... Each room is unique in this boutique hotel located above historic River Street. Great hotel for couples, not a good family setting. If avoiding the noise from River Street is going to be an issue, then get a room on the Bay Street side of the hotel. The views are inferior, but there is less noise.

We arrived on a beautiful sunday afternoon. i say that to share that the city was verrrry busy, packed with many visitors. Even so, upon arrival to the hotel "entrance" there was no designated parking spot to check in much less unload our bags. Arranged parking for hotel guests is nearby but a slight hassle. This intial impression is a... More

This hotel has a great location that is convenient walking distance to everything in historic downtown. The decor and architecture help give you the whole Savannah experience. Only downside to the old building is when the baby in the next room woke up at 5:30 a.m. Thankfully we are early risers.

I have stayed here twice and loved it both times. This hotel oozes historic charm and is very romantic. I had a room with a little balcony and at night I would open the doors to hear 'the bustle' from the street. This included beautiful singing by people the in the vendor area below which I thoroughly enjoyed. My room... More

I recently stayed at River Street Inn with a friend for two nights. My last visit was 20 years ago when the inn was much smaller and very special. The location and accessibility to Savannah sites are terrific, bearing in mind that it is rather noisy well into the evening on the river side, at least on the weekend. However,... More

Great location in the heart of downtown on the River. Step out of the tourist hustle into 19th century charm. Loved our room with the four poster bed, room and bath well appointed, congenial staff. We would stay here again. No parking at hotel but city garage was only $8 for the night and across the street.

We LOVED everything about this hotel! :) The customer service was excellent, it was quiet, we had a room facing the river (which was beautiful), there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and Monday through Thursday they offered free cocktails/wine. During the week, it is probably best to park across the street in the parking garage... More
