Pros: You are right on the riverfront, you can walk into the hotel from Bay street and out the back onto River street. Great views (got a room with a balcony). Keep in mind "balcony" means a standing area. But this hotel is historic and so are the balconies. The architecture was interesting - a lot of exposed brick. The... More

The location is excellent, right on River Street. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything seemed clean. Layout of the Inn is a bit odd but I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

River Street was my introduction to Savannah What a wonderful way to be introduced. !!! The inn has history as a cotton warehouse .it sits on the river which provides some interesting views as water traffic is heavy. River Street is just below your window and is the main thoroughfare for rivers edge shopping and gawking The Inn's rooms are... More

The elevator did not work correctly for 2 days and a sign was only posted for 1/2 day that it was not working. We were able to get into the elevator but we did not think we would be able to get out of it. Also, this hotel does not have free parking. If you use the recommended parking lot... More

We were able to get a last minute reservation at the River Street Inn. I had given up hope! When we arrived, the hotel staff was so welcoming and helpful. The bellmen were awesome! The room was so cozy. Beautiful fireplace. Turn down service was a nice treat. Once we parked, we never had to move the car. Everything we... More

DISCLAIMER: This review relates specifically to time spent at the hotel during Savannah's huge St. Patrick's Day celebration. I have stayed there before with different experiences. Let me begin with saying it is aesthetically a nice enough hotel. The rooms are clean, though the furniture is a little damaged and dated. The staff is friendly enough. I mainly wanted to... More

This is a beautiful inn right on famous River Street in Savannah. The room decor fits the turn of the century South. Since the room looks over River Street, you will hear the fun for long into the night. The noise did not bother us because we knew that came with staying close to the fun. If you enjoy walking,... I was looking forward to staying here because of its seeming great location, but the location actually worked against us. There is like ZERO parking when you want to check in. This dampened our spirits, as there was a festival going on and a lot of activity, and we couldn't enjoy any of it OR check into our hotel because... More

Maids are wonderful and friendliest of staff. Front desk staff aloof and didn't know the area. Rooms are ok nothing great. We had a 4th floor river view-loved the view but room was small and bathroom door stuck on the tile. Parking...a joke but in all fairness we were here over St. Patrick's day unaware of the fiasco it is.... More

This charming hotel is in an old cotton warehouse, so one should not expect everything to be majorly convenient, as it is laid out in this very old building. But, it is fun here-the afternoon wine and cheese receptions are a nice way for your group to gather after walking Savannah all day. It's also a nice way to meet... More
