To sleep in the epicenter of the city's beautiful historic district, book some time here, on Reynolds Square. The Planters Inn offers elegant rooms, great service, and a jovial wine and cheese reception where people linger each afternoon. For a view, ask about one of the rooms overlooking Reynolds Square Park. Better yet, step outside the inn and get lost among the azaleas and architecture. Just make it back for your dose of wine and cheese. more » « less

My wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary in Savannah. We booked the Planters Inn based on location, price, and the look of the hotel on the website. When we arrived we were shown to a room with 2 twins, despite booking a Queen. A trip back to the front desk quickly fixed the issue. Don't book the "house choice"... more

Just got back from Planters Inn- some positives and some negatives. Positives: Great location!!!!! Two blocks from everything. Rooms equip with everything you need. Fast internet. Nice size bathroom and nice towels. Staff very nice. We had small room problem initially, but they worked it out very quick and were very nice. Valet parking was nice and necessary (11.99 a... more

My wife and I stayed at the Planters Inn recently and had a great time. Our room was nice and clean. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to plenty of restaurants and to River Street. For savings on parking, I would recommend parking in the city parking deck across the square rather than in the parking... more

Our room was very pretty, comfortable and clean. We had requested a room with two twins and were shown a queen, but that was remedied immediately by a very nice desk clerk. We had to wait a few minutes for the valet to take our bags and park the car...just one on duty, but he was pleasant and accomadating. We... more

I have just stayed at Planters Inn in Savannah and cannot recommend it. The first room I was assigned was facing a parking lot and was dark and dingy,. I then was moved to a nicer room facing the square but for two days I did not have air-conditioning. They kept sending bellboys up to fix it and each time... more

While I do agree with this lady somewhat- I must disagree with several items. These rooms are not dark and dingy- the guest did not open the drapes and she stated that she did not want them open ?? We actually upgraded her to a better room- upon her insistence that she wanted 2 Parkview rooms that had adjoining doors...

Good Things - Close to riverfront and shopping. Has the historic charm one would seek in a property in Savannah. A little less expensive than some other properties of a similar nature. Not So Good Things - Small rooms that overlook a parking garage. Shower was covered in mold and it took a lot of effort on our part to... more

My wife and I reserved a room at The Planter's Inn, a "premier" Inn as described and from what we have heard. We were celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary and had plans of spending some quiet time in our room after our dinner at the Olde Pink House. Our accommodations were satisfactory until the blackout which occurred for which... more

Mr. A. is quite persistent in his comments. Mr. A. has also written the BBB and the chamber with the exact same wording. As I explained to Mr. A.- Planters Inn had no control over the power outage that occurred on 3/15. The entire city was out from tornadoes in the area. Mr .A was never in any danger because...

Let me start with what this hotel does NOT have: - Doorman (who is also Bellman & Valet)...only 1 on duty - Concierge - On-Site Fitness - No Access to Upper Floor Courtyard (this upstairs courtyard used to be open). The hotel was very conveniently located off Reynolds Park and right next door to the Pink House (who provided "room... more

After a 10-year absence, we had the opportunity to visit Savannah. In the past, Planters Inn had always been our place to stay, so we booked a standard room for two nights. We arrived in Savannah super early and decided to head to the hotel to stow our bags if we couldn’t check in. The front desk representative, housekeeping and... more
