My room was a standard queen. I got it for $119. The room was average at best. The matress was average and the bed frame creeked really load everytime you moved. I expected to have a better bed. By luck I stayed at the Marshall House when they were finishing the million $$$ renovation in the 90's. I found it to be a magical inn in a magical town. I go back time after time. The Marshall House is a historic hotel with a beautiful lobby. The location in the middle of the historic district of Savannah is perfect. The service was so warm and friendly that we felt like we were staying with friends. We loved the wine and cheese in the evenings- we even played cards in the lobby to enjoy it more.... more

We stayed for two night during the Thanksgiving holiday. Broughton Street was closed for a special event and the front desk did a great job directing us to the back entrance. It was a really nice "boutique" style hotel. Staff was absolutely the best, the room was nice, great access to veranda on second floor...nice to sit and enjoy historic Savannah right in the heart of the old historic section.
