We stayed here for 2 nights last week. The hotel is in a beautiful old building and the entrance is well appointed. All of the front desk staff were helpful and very friendly. It did take some time for our bags to arrive at our room, 316. It was tiny with no drawers to unpack things. It also overlooked a... More

There is a fine line between charming, old and grand, and charming, old and Needs Work. Pros: lovely lobby area, terrific staff and just a charming old place in a central location. The problem is the rooms. Our "king" room was tiny--about 140 sq ft with a small bath but oversized furniture. We were overlooking a low roof and parking... More

This is a charming, historic hotel and the staff was attentive and friendly. However, room cleanliness needs much improvement. We stayed in room 219 (Broughton balcony upgraded room). There were many hairs stuck to to the wall around the bathroom mirror, mysterious stains on the bathroom wall which some simple windex would fix, the floor behind the claw tooth tub... More

We stayed at the Marshall House for our son's wedding. The rooms are old but the beds are comfy. The floors creak but they are wood, no carpet. The doors to the rooms are not air tight and you can hear everything, not the best place for a sound sleep (ghosts)? BUT, the best part? The staff. Some of the... More

Can't beat this place for a historic yet comfortable place to stay in the historic district. Everything is within walking distance or a very short taxi ride if the weather is bad. Second time there, and I'll be back again.

Everyone!!! was helpful . Did not have to worry about a thing! The staff took care of you like you were family!! The location is great because you can walk to many things or they will get you a bus or a tour bus pass. If you want to go somewhere in Savannah they can get you there!!

As we live only 2 1/2 hours away, we go to Savannah often. I have to say that this is now my favorite place to stay! It has a bed and breakfast feel but with the amenities of a hotel. The staff is the friendliest and extremely helpful. When we told them we have been to Savannah many times they... More

Loved it! Great place to stay in Savannah! Still has that Old South charm. Nice breakfast, great location, nice staff. Parking nearby. Didn't go to hotel restaurant, but looked great. If I ever go to Savannah again, this is where I am staying!

My wife and I stayed here for a 4 day minimoon. This was our first trip to Savannah, and what a fantastic introduction it was. From the moment we got there, without exception, the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. They remembered us each time we saw them and were a joy to be around. The whole place is full... More

From the time we pulled up until we left 3 days later, we had a perfect experience.... We came for our 20th anniversary getaway and couldn't ask for anything better. Great location, great value, and the little touches are what make this place so special - delicious breakfast in the courtyard, wine & cheese reception each evening in the "lobby"... More
