Very friendly and efficient staff. Location was excellent for walking tours of Savannah and close to restaurants and activities. Breakfast was good and beds extremely comfortable. Very charming and old but modern in all the right places.

My wife and I just stayed here from 23 Feb 2015 to 25 Feb 2015. It was our 35th anniversary and the wife's birthday. When I made reservations I asked if they could procure a bottle of White Zinfandel Wine which my wife loves. The day we arrived we where greeted by very cheerful people who were very professional. in... More

We really enjoyed our visit. The hotel is from 1850 and it is full of charm , but it also has all the modern day convenience that you would want while you are on vacation. The price was average and the location was very safe. You do have to pay extra to park your car.

It is difficult to share ALL of the wonderful experiences we had because of this choice we made to stay at The Marshall House! Right from the excellent directions, the valet parking, and "Welcome to Savannah" from Carlton- to the front desk experts (both of the Stephanies!) with places to eat, history to take in and even a show at... Nicest staff we have encountered in a hotel in a while! Very good location, close to everything. Walking distance to great dining. Nice breakfast and wine and cheese every afternoon included. This is an historic building so it is NOT all new and modern... but it is very charming and comfortable. We loved the old creaky hardwood floors and big... More

Very centrally located. I found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and attractive, but cave-like (long with only one window which looked out onto an enclosed atrium, not the outdoors). Terrible elevator music in the lobby and breakfast room made me feel like I was in a retirement home, wrecking the boutique vibe I think they're... More

Lovely historic hotel with lots of charm. Our concierge was very helpful as was the rest of the staff. One critique would be the slanted floors...again...charm. I would definitely stay here again. It is located right in the historic district and walking distance to restaurants, the river and tons of shopping in cute little shops. The continental breakfast was a... More

We just returned from a southern tour which included Savannah and the Marshall House. It is beautifully restored, but also very authentic with original wood floors, doors, trim etc, etc.. The rooms were spacious and very accommodating. The breakfast room was lovely with skylights and baskets of decorative peaches on each table. The food was delicious...fresh biscuits, muffins, eggs, quiche,... More

This was our second time at the Marshall House. What a disappointment comparatively. The hotel has so many great things going for it---character, history---but the service and clear lack of care for the property or guests is disappointing. First, the front desk folks were much more interested in talking with each other than the guests: no interest, no information, no... More

Just booked a second stay at Marshall House. My wife and I stayed there a couple of years ago, fell in love with Savannah and Marshall House immediately. Being a gay couple we were a little concerned about the reception we would get at a B&B in the heart of old Dixie. We needn't have been concerned - the Marshall... More
