Only had one night in Savannah but I picked a great hotel to stay. Sooooo comfortable, quiet, clean...the staff couldn't have been nicer...I just wish I was able to stay longer... I went the last week of August...Savannah was very tranquil...don't know what the city is like in high season but the Marshall House is an oasis in the center... More

My wife and I lodged at The Marshall House because of its location and history. It is the oldest hotel in Savannah, having been opened in 1851, and has undergone several renovations. It is in Savannah’s famous historic district and about one quarter mile to the riverfront. This hotel has retained many of its original nineteen-century architectural features but has... More

We had a wonderful two nights at this hotel and would happily return. We loved: * the location; * the lovely 'old-style' feel of the room and the hotel itself; * the excellent breakfast served in a beautiful dining room; * the free wifi; * wine and cheese hour; and * the friendly staff. We didn't love: * waiting for... More

Stopped at the Marshall house during a return trip from Disney. While it was only a short stay, we felt at home and welcome. The hotel itself was gorgeous and the rooms quite comfortable. My teenage son adored the biscuits at breakfast and could not help but to eat a half dozen! Will definitely stay here again when we return... More

We checked-in at the Marshall House for one night on Friday, August 15th. Got a King Room on the 3rd floor. Here's what we thought: The Marshall House is in a very central location to the Historic District and all the River St. area attractions. It is a very good "home base," and walkable to many interesting Savannah destinations. Parking:... More

I goofed on my reservations and it was not a problem. The lovely blond lady fixed my mistake. Great hotel, but I think it is time for a renovation again. Black clups of hair all over the bathroom floor. I cleaned it.- the afternoon wine and cheese was fabulous and was the breakfast. Would I stay again, probably not, would... More

Arrived at The Marshall House during a rainstorm. The valet who parked our car was extremely courteous as were the reception staff. They very accurately told us the rain would stop at 6.15pm and it did! The area soon dried and we had a wonderful evening. The rooms we booked were small but really clean and beautiful linen. Breakfast was... More

Adored the charm of this hotel and it's wonderful staff. The hotel is perfectly situated in the historic district. The staff was so accommodating, professional and knowledgable about the Savannah area. A great overnight excursion with the family.

This hotel is beautiful. The lobby is decorated in lovely antiques in rich colors. They have a dining area off the lobby. The area light and airy with lots of plants and hanging baskets. The breakfast was delicious. Originally this was a hotel converted into hospital during the Civil War. The staff was very helpful in helping us plan our... More

This hotel is located in the city. Parking is available at a cost. It is overpriced for what you get. We did not get a balcony room as requested. The room was furnished with old style furniture as you would expect. There was WIFI The bathroom had a shower curtain which seemed out of place due to sanitary considerations. The... More

The Marshall House. Originally built as the first hotel in our fair city, this is one of the most unique boutique hotels in Savannah. Offering 68 guest rooms and a perfect downtown location on Broughton Street, The Marshall House is ideally situated right in the heart of Savannah's historic district. Coastal Living magazine named The Marshall House among its top 20 favorite lodgings, and the Travel Channel featured The Marshall House on its "Great Hotels" program.
