So, this IS Savannah. It's more than the house, the antiques, the historically significant breakfasts. It's Albert, or as he was known, Dr. Wall and his impeccable southern charm. He was there for some of Jim Williams parties. He knows the SOGS (south of Gaston street). He has an 85 foot yacht from the late 1950's that his 97 year... More

My wife and I recently were guests at the very welcoming and palatial Stephen Williams House, care of Dr. Albert Wall, owner of the B&B in magical historic Savannah. Dr. Wall was extremely accommodating, seeing to our every need and making incredible breakfasts from centuries-old Southern recipes. We had an opportunity to stay in the very large, incredibly well-appointed three... More

This exquisitely-restored house is an amazing treat! How could anyone ever go to a hotel after staying in such a spot? Even the Plaza in New York City can't compete with Williams House' elegance which combines classic beauty with warm, personal attention. A separate visit is in order just to hear the stories associated with the magnificent museum-quality antiques throughout... More

This B & B is gorgeous. Albert is a wonderful southern gentleman. He keeps the B & B in spotless condition, and he proudly serves fantastic breakfasts. He has many antiques within the Inn and provides a wealth of information about Savannah. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dr. Wall is an absolute gem! Such a southern gentleman. We truly felt like we were family - or at the very least - dear friends. The home is beautiful and filled with gorgeous antiques. Dr. Wall attended to our every need. This B & B is a hidden gem in this wonderful city.

We visited the Stephen Williams House in November 2013 and could not have asked for a better experience. Dr. Walls, who owns the Inn, is the quintessential Southern gentleman and the embodiment of Savannah. He knows the city's families, buildings, restaurants, and all the stories. We learned so much about Savannah and its inhabitants over breakfast and evening cocktails. We... More

House was gorgeous with lots of impressive antiques, each with it's own story. House has interesting stories as well. We've been to Savannah a few times and have learned much of the history but we learned so much more from the owner who is very interesting and gracious. The stories I liked the best were about Jim Williams and his... More

The proprietor, Dr Albert Walls, makes this place magical. He is the very model of a classic Southern gentleman. Worldly, articulate, a marvelous host and raconteur. He also knows his way around the kitchen and his breakfasts are to die for. Follow his tips for what to see and do in Savannah and you will have the time of your... More

Dr. Walls makes your stay as special as it can be. I had always dreamed of having a true Savannah experience, staying at a B&B in downtown. Dr. Walls welcomes you and treat you like a queen. He is kind and patience and the service is bar none. We would step out of the room for breakfast and the beds... More

This 1834 home located in the Historic District has been perfectly restored to its original splendor. The owner, Albert Wall, has thought of every detail to make one feel at home in a very comfortable and exquisitely decorated 5 room inn. We were relaxing in the living room before going out to dinner listening to soft music in the background... More
