My wife and I spent a week in this beautiful home. The owner, Colleen, was warm and gracious. Breakfasts were delicious. Beautifully restored home and Southern hospitality. Located across from Forsyth Park in historic district. Easy walking access. more

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Confederate House in Mid-May 2008, and had a wonderful time. The Inn is right on Forsyth Park on Drayton Street, which runs right into the River Walk area. Just a few houses down from ritzy "Mansion on Forsyth," this inn was a great bargain that gave us the combination of an antebellum... more

This B&B was not friendly at all. We only saw the owner once when we checked in. Knocked on the door , no answer. Had to figure out where to go to find anyone, turned out to be around the side on the ground level. Was not told where to park before we got there. Had to find that ourselves... more

Some people love it here and others don't. some people are just not very happy people. I feel very badly for these people and hope life gets better for them.

The confederate house is a beautiful place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious and the mansion is beautifully decorated and very clean. Best of all, the beds are extremely comfortable and the price is right. more

We really wish we had researched this place first. We were getting married that weekend and wanted to find a nice place. We followed the directions and parked in lot just behind the house. From the back, the house appeared rusted, rotted, and in need of a lot of repair. We walked around to the front and even though it... more

I'm not sure where to start. Take your own light bulbs, only 5 out of 11 lights worked and our hostess would not provide more. Take tissues, she won't give you any.Bring your own bar soap and shampoo. We didn't see our hostess for 2 days after we arrived. We had a 12 hour power outage and weren't offered so... more

This lady was something else we all tried to stay out of her way no matter what we did for her she made life uncomfortable for everyone around her to the point people were asking when she was leaving. We had no warning of a tordardo the lights in the entire city went out which had not happened in the...

From the time I booked my stay over the phone, I was just amazed with the warmt and friendlyness of the staff. When we arrived late that night, we were welcomed and directed to our room. It was our first wedding anniversary and the staff treated us like royalty! I was even asked what I wanted for breakfast. I had... more

My wife and I were scheduled to spend a couple of nights at The Confederate House. Unfortunately, she took a bad fall while hiking back from Rainbow Falls in the Great Smokeys NP and we had to cut our vacation short. The folks at The Confederate House gave us a credit for one night and refunded the second night. We... more

I did not stay at the Confederate House. I left. I researched the internet before planning my vacation to Savannah. I wish now, I had found trip advisor before my trip instead of after. As luck would have it, my drive did not take as long and I arrived a day earlier. I did not have a room booked so... more

I would not waste my time believing what is in this review after all as he himself said he was never in this house. Being in business I get to meet all kinds of people. Some you become friends with and others it is peasure seeing them come and a pleasure seeing them go. Life goes on. Any way come...

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary, and if it weren't for the fabulous biscuits and cozy bed, we would've checked out and stayed somewhere else. Upon walking in, the inn was huge, sparsely decorated (um...not modern either) and yes, the tile floor looked like something from the 70's. Almost vinyl looking brown parqay (sp?) tile. There was... more

I think perhaps this guest may have us confused with another inn on some of the things mentioned. Yes, we do have a portrait of my son and myself done when he was a child and I am holding him how this can be disturbing to anyone is beyond me. This room is furnished in French Provencial Louis V and...
