My husband and I stayed 2 days recently in the Jefferson Davis room. Colleen was very welcoming and check-in went smoothly. We were given keys to the front door and our room. The room was spacious along with the bathroom (which had a separate tub and shower). The king bed was comfortable and we liked having the large flat screen... More

We arrived in the early evening to be greated by the owner. She showed us around, left cookies and a delicious red velvet cake to snack on in the sitting room and left us with menus and suggested restaurants in the area. The room was enormous and inviting, the bed incredibly comfortable. The next morning a delicious ho-emade breakfast awaited. Her stories of... More

My husband surprised me with an after Christmas getaway to Savannah. Neither of us had ever been to this great city. We stayed in the Confederate house for 2 nights. The home itself is so intriging and historical. Our room was just what we needed. It was very quiet, a great view and the bed was most comfortable. Everything was... More

My boyfriend and I just came from staying at the Confederate House, neither of us will be staying there again. We had driven from upstate NY all the way down to Savannah and by the time we arrived we were exhausted. The front door to the inn was locked, no answer to the bell or knocking, we had to call... This couple checked in very late we did not charge them a late check in fee. On our website it does state to phone us from your cell when you are at the front door. We explained everything to them especially how to use the remote control for the 42 inch plasma tv and do not touch the buttons on... More

We stayed in Savannah for 2 nights, as part of a holiday driving along the east coast. We found it eventually, once we got used to the one way system in Savannah. The Confederate House was a very interesting place to stay. The main room, which used to be the confederate hall was huge. We ate breakfast in the corner... More

We stayed one night at the Confederate House in October. Arrived about noon on the day we were to check in. Found the B&B and called to see if we could park behind the home where there were many open parking spaces. Colleen said we could pick up a parking pass when we checked in at 3pm. So found a... I remember this one she did want a parking pass 3 hours before check in time I guess she did not want to pay to park. She made no earlier arrangements to park 3 hours earlier before check in time and I was not at the business when she called but I was out buying food to feed the guests.... More

My wife and another couple booked at the Confederate House because of the very reasonable rates. This is a very good value if you are looking for a reasonable rate. Colleen was very nice and accomodating. The breakfast was great each morning and the view from the front porch over Forsyth Park is beautiful. Colleen has some very interesting stories... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying with Miss Colleen at the Confederate House. It is conveniently located across from the beautiful Forsythe Park. We found the inn to be a great value. The rooms were beautifully decorated and breakfast was always delicious!

Incredible house that makes you time traveling! Incredible hostess with many fascinating stories to tell and some real ol' time class!!! Sparing no efforts to make our stay memorable! Very well maintained rooms. Location ON the park next to the fountain which is on all Savannah postcards (and next to my favorite restaurant little 10 eleven). Totally worth the trip... More

I have no idea how this hotel has received four stars. We found the owner's stories held us hostage for forty minutes while we waited to be left alone in our room. The room was so dirty (we stayed in the Lee room). Laying in bed, if you looked up at the ceiling, it was covered in moths. The bathroom... More

I find it interesting 6 months later they write a nasty untruthful review. Let me state for the record we receive a 100% on our inspections for cleanliness etc. I firmly believe the problems were not with my home but perhaps I raise the question if the problems were not between them?. I have been in the business many years... More
