I admit to being tired of the "at" preposition to make a place sound more refined than it is, and the Inn at Ellis Square is proof of the point. In fact, it's a medium sized hotel on a busy street, well-located for the Savannah tourist. The lobby is small but pleasant and the reception staff is excellent. The buffet... More

A great location that is close to everything on the river side and also City market. Our room and the hotel looked to have been recently remodeled. We were on the top floor and had a great view of river. Parking was a breeze and I have a Dodge van, no problem with the size of the parking spaces, but... More

From reading other comments I had the best possible room as far as noise was concerned. We heard nothing of the Bay Street traffic, but oh my, City Market was a party both nights. I would fall asleep to the music then wake up from 2-4 when the clubs emptied out. The staff was well meaning, but nothing seemed to... More

Where do I begin? Check in went smoothly, we were given an access card for the adjacent parking garage - the spaces are so tight, we had to back in. Because the hotel was full - people parked anywhere they were able to put their vehicle. This should have been monitored better by the individual in the parking booth. We... More

We recently stayed at the Inn at Ellis Square, on a short trip to Savannah. The hotel is a historic site, so of course very old, and has been updated nicely. The room was a little small, but had two comfy beds and everything we needed, which was mainly a place to sleep. The continental breakfast had the normal fare... More

I stayed with a group and we booked two rooms. At check-in we were given key cards to two different rooms and upon inspecting the rooms we found we were given keys to rooms that still had people in them. We were given new key cards for new rooms and they seemed to work. The next night the managment gave... More

We were very pleased with our stay here and would highly recommend the hotel. It is right on Bay Street and a short walk to River Street. The trolleys stop almost right outside the hotel. The concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is a fee for parking but the lot is right outside the back door with in and... More

Stopped at the visitor center on rt95 and one of the ladies booked us at this very reasonable hotel. We where very pleased with the cleanliness and location of this hotel. Also enjoyed the trivia question posted by the bartender, she makes you feel right at home! We where in walking distance to food, shopping, tours and nightly entertainment! Great... More

It is located near river street & close to shops & restaurants. The Inn itself was cute & had character not cookie cutter. I felt it was priced average for the area. I would definitely stay there again!

Pros: Great location, nice lobby, convenient parking, comfortable bed. Cons: Very small room, noisy guests, staff were not friendly (they weren't necessarily rude, just didn't make an effort to be friendly either...talked to each other/gossiped as they were checking us in), wasn't that clean, the room smelled weird, elevator was broken when we stayed there which wasn't a big deal...
