My husband and I stayed at the 1895 last month on our honeymoon and were thrilled! Ed was a wonderful host who went out of his way to serve us, offering recommendations of places to see/eat in town, entertaining us with stories, and even surprising us with champagne one evening! His home is lovely, filled with antiques, beautiful artwork, and... More

Wow!! What a great time we had in savannah, and especially with Ed and Robert as our hosts to the city. We kind of felt like king and queen after 4 days touring the city, all within walking distance, with Eds direction. We learned so much about savannah and all it had to offer. I got a hankering for arugula... More

My wife and I are not usually B & B patrons. In fact, this was only our 2nd stay in a B & B. This experience has changed our minds. Ed and Robert were the most gracious hosts. They were exceedingly helpful regarding what to do, where to eat. Ed will thoroughly entertain you with his stories. The house is... More

You must stay here! It is like being a guest in a combination anitque shop/art gallery, with host Ed, your own personal docent. Each rooms is a installation piece. The "formal" breakfast, prepared by Ed and Robert, is truly remarkable. Located in the historic district, within walking distance of pretty much everything, but be prepared, no elevator.

Let me start by saying that my husband hates B&Bs. Westayed here for 2 nights on our way to Charleston. Ed and Richard are exceedingly helpful and friendly. The food was superb. The room was immaculate. You can spend hours looking at all the fine things they have collected over the years. We loved the place (yes, even my husband)... More

We spent one night here in the carriage house upstairs. The breakfast and coffee was wonderful as well as the hosts and the house. It's close to everything and we hope to return here again one day. They also served tea and cake in the afternoon which was a treat we were not expecting. Loved this place.

We travel a great deal and love to stay in small Inns and B & Bs. This was one of the best. Ed and Robert make you feel so welcome and so at home. Though the house is filled with the most exquisite collections of everything from tiny spoons to large pieces of furniture never do you feel like you... More

We spent one night here during a brief visit to Savannah and were glad we did. We chose the Inn based on the other outstanding reviews on Tripadvisor and certainly confirm their accuracy. We stayed in the Renaissance Room which was exquisitely decorated with period furniture and artwork. Both Robert and Ed went out of their way to make our... More

Our visit to Savannah was wonderful due in large part to the 1895 Inn. This beautiful restored home was in an ideal location. Ed and Robert couldn't have been better hosts. They were readily available to offer help or advice. The breakfasts each morning were delicious, and luckily Ed is willing to share his recipes. Their house is a museum... More

There just aren't enough great things to say about this place. Food was phenomenal, hosts were the epitome of warmth and generosity, and the home is somehow both cozy and exquisite at the same time. We got lucky and squeezed into a reservation that opened as a result of a cancellation (email and ask, even if you think it's booked!),... More
