firstly, what this place isn't.....it isn't a hotel, it isn't a hostel and all I can really compare it to is a converted garage space that the owner rents out....it isn't flash, it doesn't have windows and if you are a clean freak, don't even think about it....but what it is, is a super convenient location to all the main... Our one night stay here was pleasant enough. The location is good, and it's easy to find. It's a block from a large Kroger and a short drive to all the major local attractions. There's a decent amount of on-street parking, but check signs to make sure you're not parked overnight when the street sweepers come through. The large house... More

The savannah hostel was in a great location and felt very comfortable. The hostel is situated in a huge mansion that was some charming qualities to it (e.g. high ceilings, private balconies, large washroom). A bonus was the tv with cable in the common room and there is a grocery store one block away. The owner, Brian was very friendly,... More

The location and value are good here. However, there were several major problems. The biggest is probably that there is only one bathroom for the majority of the guests (one room has a private bathroom) so this meant effectively 13-14 people using one toilet and one shower. So there was always a wait for that. Also, the owner Brian is... More

Both my friend and I were a little scared of staying in a hostel for the first time. We were both pleasantly surprised by how convenient the location was, how nice the owner was and how clean the place was. We booked our room ahead of time so we were able to get a private room. The place felt secure.... More

My GF and I spent our anniversary in Savannah, we had so much fun we sort of decided to move to Savannah. We were going to do couchsurfers.org but wanted privacy on this trip. If I would've known, we would've just stayed at a hotel. Our hostel experience was the only draw back, even still it was an adventure and... More

Want an honest review. Lets point form it *BEWARE: all sites call this a hostel it isn't! *ideal for couples and groups- cheaper rates. If you're solo you pay for every bed in the whole room. Find another solo person willing to share a room to make it cheaper!! *if staying in the main building you are locked out between... More

I stayed here for just one night, and booked last minute. I was lucky I suppose, as one of the other guests did not show up. Owner seems laid back, unique guy and totally trusting (I had left my ID at a friends house and did not have immediate access to it). I think this would be a good place... More

I stayed for three nights while down checking out SCAD (I'll be attending in the fall). I stayed one night in the main building and two in one of the bedrooms in the carriage house. The carriage house is definitely nicer, with a fully equipped kitchen and better air conditioning, not to mention quieter. The downside is that the WiFi... More

The place is filthy the grounds are totally devoid of any care or maintenance the location was OK but we were advised not to go to the grocery store 1 block away after dar because it wasn't really safe. The bed had no sheets only a sleep sack on top of a plastic covered mattress possibly the worst nights sleep... More
