My SCAD students stay here when the dorms close but their flight isn't for another day or two or they get in before they open. Very affordable option and the owner is very accommodating. He has come to know my daughters and makes sure they are safe for the night and calls the cab for them in the AM. There... More

This was a great place for what it was- a hostel run by a guy by himself out of his house. The house was clean and neat but definitely not well decorated, but for the price that was fine. The exterior of the house was lovely and the street it was on was also very nice. It was a long... More

I stayed at the Savannah Pensione for one night with a group of 13 people. The location is really good. Everything is within walking distance and there is a supermarket across the street. The owner is really nice and helpfull. The place is clean. There are only 2 bathrooms, so if you're with a lot of people you have to... More

When I booked the place I knew it wasn't the Grand Hotel, it was more the location for me, like close to the historic district and River Street and the Forsythe Park. I would summarize the property as under maintained. I stayed in the main house, upstairs in one of the bunk rooms with a private bath room. When I... More

Recently traveled to Savannah for the first time (my boyfriend and I) for a weekend. If you have started to do some research on stays in Savannah you will find it is mad expensive! But do not fear! International Pensione is here! We loved our two night stay! We stayed in the main house our first night, we got a... More

The girlfriend and I stayed at this hostel last weekend. We stayed in the "back house" which had a rate of $80 a night. It was not on the hostelworld website, but with a quick call we were told about it. The owner, Brian is a character; seems a bit in his own world, but genuinely nice and willing to... More

firstly, what this place isn't.....it isn't a hotel, it isn't a hostel and all I can really compare it to is a converted garage space that the owner rents out....it isn't flash, it doesn't have windows and if you are a clean freak, don't even think about it....but what it is, is a super convenient location to all the main... Our one night stay here was pleasant enough. The location is good, and it's easy to find. It's a block from a large Kroger and a short drive to all the major local attractions. There's a decent amount of on-street parking, but check signs to make sure you're not parked overnight when the street sweepers come through. The large house... More

The savannah hostel was in a great location and felt very comfortable. The hostel is situated in a huge mansion that was some charming qualities to it (e.g. high ceilings, private balconies, large washroom). A bonus was the tv with cable in the common room and there is a grocery store one block away. The owner, Brian was very friendly,... More

The location and value are good here. However, there were several major problems. The biggest is probably that there is only one bathroom for the majority of the guests (one room has a private bathroom) so this meant effectively 13-14 people using one toilet and one shower. So there was always a wait for that. Also, the owner Brian is... More
