The location and value are good here. However, there were several major problems. The biggest is probably that there is only one bathroom for the majority of the guests (one room has a private bathroom) so this meant effectively 13-14 people using one toilet and one shower. So there was always a wait for that. Also, the owner Brian is... More

Both my friend and I were a little scared of staying in a hostel for the first time. We were both pleasantly surprised by how convenient the location was, how nice the owner was and how clean the place was. We booked our room ahead of time so we were able to get a private room. The place felt secure.... More

My GF and I spent our anniversary in Savannah, we had so much fun we sort of decided to move to Savannah. We were going to do couchsurfers.org but wanted privacy on this trip. If I would've known, we would've just stayed at a hotel. Our hostel experience was the only draw back, even still it was an adventure and... More

Want an honest review. Lets point form it *BEWARE: all sites call this a hostel it isn't! *ideal for couples and groups- cheaper rates. If you're solo you pay for every bed in the whole room. Find another solo person willing to share a room to make it cheaper!! *if staying in the main building you are locked out between... More

I stayed here for just one night, and booked last minute. I was lucky I suppose, as one of the other guests did not show up. Owner seems laid back, unique guy and totally trusting (I had left my ID at a friends house and did not have immediate access to it). I think this would be a good place... More

I stayed for three nights while down checking out SCAD (I'll be attending in the fall). I stayed one night in the main building and two in one of the bedrooms in the carriage house. The carriage house is definitely nicer, with a fully equipped kitchen and better air conditioning, not to mention quieter. The downside is that the WiFi... More

The place is filthy the grounds are totally devoid of any care or maintenance the location was OK but we were advised not to go to the grocery store 1 block away after dar because it wasn't really safe. The bed had no sheets only a sleep sack on top of a plastic covered mattress possibly the worst nights sleep... More

This seemed sparse even for a hostel and yet it was expensive. The location is convenient because it's within the historic district and 1 block from a grocery store. The owner was kind enough to give me a map and circle the location of the grocery store and the visitor center. The map was barely readable because it was a... More

Adjacent to a grocery store and walkable to Forsyth park and downtown, you can't get a better location for the price. However you must be prepared for quirk and reduced amenities. No, you can't check in until 5 PM. Yes, the mattress is bagged in plastic, but that is close to standard at east coast hostels. Yes, the sheets are... More

My two buddies and I decided to drive down to Savannah from Atlanta for the weekend after a long work week for some R&R. This place met all of our needs for our two night stay and Brian (the owner) couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating. It was certainly clean enough for $23/night and we had a six... More
