The Doubletree is right on the edge of the Historic District, but is still within walking distance to everything you'll need. There isn't much parking around Savannah, so it works out really good. The construction mentioned in recent reviews is no longer visible and has presumably been completed. The service was outstanding upon arrival and at checkout during our 2 night stay. I definitely enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. The service was great, for the most part. And the location was pretty good as well (it's kind of at the end of the historic district, but still close to some very nice sights). My only complaint is the size of the rooms (still good for the price, though). more
