This is a belated review as we stayed in the East Bay back in Jun during a drive down the east coast. A really lovely hotel in all respects. The room was a welcome break from the generic modern hotel room style, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the evening wine reception and also took... More

It had been nearly six years since our let visit to the "Empress City of the Southeast Coast" ( far too long!). We chose the East Bay Inn because of it's location in the very heart of the most historic section of this magical city, and it's easy access to the city's finest restaurants and likely entertainment scene. We knew... More

This was our first trip to Savannah. Found the East Bay Inn by surfing the Internet and reading the reviews. We were greeting by friendly staff upon our arrival, treated like we were the only ones on site. Our room was beautiful, clean and homey. I never sleep good at a hotel, especially the first night. I slept like a... More

We loved this hotel. Having never stayed at an inn or B&B, we were nervous about the room. The moment we entered the room we knew we made a great decision to stay here. It sets the mood for a real old savannah experience. We will defiantly be back!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the East Bay Inn. Marvin the Bell Man was so sweet. He gave us some ideas for where to eat and what to do as well as a brief history of the hotel. The wine and chief happy hour was a perfect late afternoon treat. Savannah was really beautiful. We didn't love the trolley... More

Excellent hotel, everything as it should be and not far from the river. Slightly overpriced for the amenities I found. The restaurant was lovely in the basement, but I found the breakfast disappointing. However, the room was charming and the reception staff and other staff were wonderful. Despite all I say, I would probably go back there. Beautiful building and... More

For my 4th trip to Savannah, we chose The East Bay Inn; not only is it situated in the heart of history, it is beautiful. After checking-in, the friendly staff showed us to our room and ensured that we are well settled before leaving. During our stay, I realised that a group of attentive staff were merely a step away.... More

This is the best hotel in the savannah area Thanks for a wonderful experience. We were very sad to go. I will definitely be back. We were just a short walk from anywhere downtown you would want to be. This place really gives you the old savannah spirit.

Having traveled all over the World we understand that we are not buying the establishments we visit , but we do consider them to be like family and certainly hope for cleanliness and location as guests who visit our home expect. Like most folks , we always utilize Trip Advisor to review properties to stay at . Here is a... More

This hotel building dates back to the 1800s and has that spooky old feel to it that lots of Savannah has with all the moss hanging on the huge oak trees. You're right across the street from River Street (a popular tourist spot though probably my least favorite part of the city). And the breakfast buffet was very good (delicious... More
