Wow! It will be hard to list why the Ballastone Inn is so exceptional! We just returned from an Easter vacation stay with the entire family and had five rooms at this beautiful inn. We had rooms on three of the four floors and they were all wonderful. Everyone in the family had an enjoyable stay. What really makes this... More

From the moment we walked in the front door we knew we were in for something special. And it kept getting better. Every single member of the staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Afternoon tea and the breakfasts were lovely. Plus there were hors d'oeuvres we were not even expecting. The place is located in the historic district and is... More

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the Ballastone Inn as part of a two week visit to the South. Generally when we travel whether in the U.S. or in Europe, we stay in hotels. But the Ballastone had come highly recommended by friends and so we thought we'd give it a try. We're so very glad we... More

What a wonderful oasis in the heart of the historical district. You know you're in a special place when people are constantly photographing your B&B. The service is designed to make you feel very special - a gorgeous breakfast to start your day, high tea at 4, a pre-dinner snack at 6 and a glass of sherry or port awaiting... More

We stayed at the Ballastone Inn during a holiday weekend and it appeared the staff and management were apparently overwhelmed with their duties and responsibilities which was evident when they continually dropped the ball on several occasions. We made several requests for non-down pillows which fell on deaf ears. We asked for staff to secure reservations for us at a... More

"When Ballastone has been continually voted by our guests to be the best, it is always hard to maintain that honor being #1 in service. This honor does not come without doing all that is possible and then going the extra mile. We do this with service with long term staff, many over ten years of service. The Ballastone "manager",... We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Ballastone Inn in Savannah. We stayed in Scarlett's Retreat. The room was large and well appointed. This was our first time in Savannah and we were glad to have stayed at the Ballastone because everything was in walking distance of the inn. The staff was very friendly and took care of our... More

Everything was terrific except for a few minor things. We felt there should be more light provided in the China Trade room that we stayed in. Also we feel the rooom could have used a thorough cleaning. The corners in the bath room has dust in the corners. Also the two large vases in on either side of the t.v.... More

Several college friends met me here for 3 nights. We felt like the princesses that we happen to be. This Inn continually upgrades, which is hard to believe because it always seems perfect to me. My friends and I luxuriated in the parlor for high tea, had a delightful made to order breakfast served to us in the lovely garden... More

This is a great B&B, brilliantly located in the old part of Savannah. We had a very large and comfortable corner room ("Scarborough Fair"). Breakfast, tea, etc. were all good. The service was friendly and excellent. My only advice would be not to go to Savannah on St. Patrick's Day!

Our experience at the Ballastone Inn was wonderful. We were travelling 3 weeks on the road, and we had a lot of luggage so we needed a larger room and booked the Scarlett's Retreat. We were very happy with our room, it was spacious and comfortable. The cleanliness of the bathroom was average, but the bedroom and suite area were... More
