This hotel is an oldie but goodie! We had room 211 that gave us a spectacular sunset view from our room. The wunderbar had great drinks and afterwards we sat on the deck looking down into the valley onto Uniontown, picturesque! The rooms were very clean and we made use of the new pool just added this year. And the... More

We booked our stay for two evenings, but barely made it through one. The price for one night's stay with a king sized bed was $200. For that kind of money, you would be better off going down the road to Nemacolin (which we did for the second night). It was outrageous to charge that kind of money for a... More

This hilltop retreat is right outta the 20's. The atmosphere is amazing and they're are so many decks to hang out on. Rooms are very dated with cramped quarters in queen bed room. Food was okay nothing spectacular though. It's worth staying here albeit in a snowstorm absolutely not!

This turn-of-last-century hotel worked great for our family of four. Close to lots of activities in the Laurel Highland (Fallingwater, rafting, etc.), there were lots of on-property stuff to keep us busy: brand new outdoor pool, large indoor pool, shuffleboard, game room. Not a cookie cutter chain, we had adjoining rooms. Big two-story lobby; huge front porch/deck with 20+ mile... More

A mix of good & bad: First the good. I knew from other reviews that the property was very charming but also had some areas that were in dire need of improvement. Now that I've stayed at the hotel myself, I have to agree with that assessment. The property itself was sweet and felt like going back in time. Their... More

Turn back the hands of time. This wonderful resort made the entire family forget about technology and interact with nature. It is set on top of a lovely mountain and you see a perfect sunset. The food in the restaurant was fabulous. They even have a "Tree House Masters" tree house on the grounds you are allowed to visit. We... More

We had a girls' weekend at the Summit Inn. Our room was clean, the staff were polite and we had an enjoyable visit. The Inn is historic and much of the interior reflected the old-class charm. There are two pools - indoor and out. We took advantage of the outdoor pool. It was beautiful. Visited the tree house on our... More

We did not stay at the Summit Inn but dined in at the Versnda restaurant located on the porch, and it had magnificent views. We did not have reservations and at this time of year, they served on the porch rather than inside, weather permitting. The weather was perfect, we talked, and then ordered. Our drinks were brought to the... More

This was my third stay at the Summit Inn. It has turned into a favorite option for traveling with my mother. This year I brought two 20-something kids and a niece. We planned side-trips of whitewater rafting on the Youghiogheny, touring a winery and seeing Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. There is so much to do in the area - but... More

Our $200/night room was smelled stuffy and musty, even with the air running, and there was black mold growing on the old wallpaper above the air conditioner. The bathroom had no fan, so even a short shower filled the room with humidity which refused to dissipate. There was no iron in the room, and so we had to go down... More
