This hotel is a so-so experience only. The weirdest thing about this hotel is that they are extremely restrictive about food. Some examples - 1) They have an over priced pasta dish ($16.95) and I asked for them to put chicken on top, and they said they could not. 2) They don't serve milkshakes except at lunchtime. 3) We asked... more

My first thought was quirky - We paid extra for the valley view room. There was the valley, along with the highway and all of the intruding highway noise. The staff was agreeable to switching rooms for us and I was thankful for this. Both of the rooms have an older "musty" smell...and I don't know if that can be... more

I stayed at the Historic Summit Inn for a friends wedding. It was the perfect spot for the event. I arrived on a busy Friday evening. The veranda was very busy with diners watching the beautiful sunset. The front desk staff was very pleasant and informative. They gave me a care package from the host upon arrival. I had also... more

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and will NEVER return! First, the front staff lied to my wife on the phone when telling her that we would stay in a renovated room. When asked upon our departure about the renovations, the desk clerk indicated quite indifferently that she thought that some work had been done on the... more

Wonderful old historic inn with lots to see and do in the area. Friendly, caring service and a Wonderful restaurant. Try the crab cakes - - they really are the best, and no ocean for miles!! more

This historic property is worth a stop. Have lunch, sit on the inviting front porch and enjoy the beautiful view. Enjoy the huge mission style lobby and fire place. Save your money by not staying here. Our room was musty smelling and unattractive. I was more comfortable sitting in the lobby than our room. We paid extra for a king... more

My husband and I just returned from the Summit Inn Resort. We booked the 2 day romantic getaway package which was pretty expensive. When we got to the room it smelled of cigarettes (even though it was a non-smoking room). The mananger let us choose another room that seemed okay, until you slept in it. the hallway stairwell was just... more

The Historic Summit Inn is not worth the money they ask to stay there. Rooms smell stale and the hotel itself looks very archaic inside and out. The hotel should not be able to ask the price they do with such old accomidations. Inside pool wasn't even heated when I was there. Very disappointing. Would not recommend this hotel to... more

the Summit Inn is by far the best b&b i have ever stayed in! this year when my husband and I were planning our vacation, we were leaning towards visiting a remote area, and stumbled across information on western PA attractions such as Frank Llyod Wrights "Fallingwater". As we began researching the hotels and inns nearest to these sites, we... more

From the outside this is a beautiful hotel, but from the inside it's anything but. The verandas and the pool are lovely, but the rooms are tiny and the service is terrible. I stayed here with my dog and they wouldn't let him in any public area on the property. The feel of this place is bad. Don't stay here. more
