I found the Summit Inn last minute for a trip with my husband. We were pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful old hotel with an amazing view! We had a great lunch overlooking Untiontown and beyond our first afternoon there. I loved that there are two pools (indoor and outdoor), a restaurant, a bar, a game room with ping-pong and arcade... My husband and I stayed after a visit to the local boy scout camp. I have wanted to stay there for years. We had with us our son who is not able to walk very well and uses a wheelchair frequently. Access to the viewing area was difficult because of the steps involved. I asked if we could sit at... More

We had prepaid for 2 King sized rooms. When we checked in they downgraded us to 2 rundown queen sized rooms that had brown water coming out of the bathroom faucets. All because I have an 11 pound, highly trained, extremely well behaved Service Dog. The Manager kept referring to my Service Dog as a PET and denied me access... More

This historic, old hotel is comfortable. Great view, great porch area, nice public areas, nice bar and excellent restaurant. After visiting the extensive Nemacolin, glad we stayed in this smaller hotel.

We watched fireworks from a rocking chair from the porch at The Summit Inn down in Uniontown, PA. Beautiful pool and hot tub looking down from the summit. very nice service and perks of free play at local casino.

Don't stay here if you want contemporary or sleek. Historic hotel (1907) with gorgeous wood beams and stone fireplace in lobby. I spent several pleasant hours in the comfy lobby esconsed on old, Stickley-like furniture reading and using wifi. Amazing views of valley and sunset! Staff was pleasant but understaffed in evening in dining room. Had great crab cakes but... More

I spent a night at the Summit Inn mid-week in late May as an overnight on a long drive. This hotel was a great find. For a room with a view, with a full hot breakfast (select items off of the breakfast menu), the value is good. The rooms are modern and clean. The highlights of the hotel are the... More

We came for a wedding that was on the premises and decided to stay for convenience, even though it was pricier than the other options. I was actually super excited because I love old hotels and this one looked so cute. That was our mistake... The front desk staff (two older women, the youngest girl was actually very nice) when... Classic rural mountain resort country inn. Well- maintained, not looking faded and dated as these older properties sometimes can. Lobby and public spaces are lovely, with lots of comfortable seating. Which was good, since my room was very small. Not much more than a bed. No fridge or coffee maker, just a 19inch old box tv with no premium channels.... More

If you want a new hotel with all the modern amenities, this will not be the place for you. If you love old, charming buildings full of history you will enjoy your stay. Our room was spacious enough to hold a king size bed, double dresser, small round table and two chairs without being cramped. There was also a decent size... More
