Stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. We ordered the Burgers. Can not recall the name but had thick slice of honey baked ham, bacon and fried egg. AMAZING! No condiments such as ketchup were necessary!

My girlfriend and I decided to get away for two nights to explore Ohiopyle and the mountains of the Laurel Highlands. We needed something relatively cheap, yet appeared to be a bit of an escape. Our room was very reasonable for $75/night, and we appreciated the staff allowing us to book and arrive very last minute. We reserved a room... More

As a Restaurateur with over 29 years in the Hospitality Industry, I can say, this stay did not even meet my expectations. My Husband and I booked a room at the Inn after much research. The original Inn is charming. Although, we stayed in the new wing. So I will review the room FIRST. The room was much smaller than... More

Booked a couple of nights on the recommendation of the Fallingwater web site. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Firstly when you book in you are asked to pay the balance of you bill odd until you understand nobody is in the hotel to book you out in the morning. Secondly I was advised breakfast was continental when... More

We chose this B&B for location and were not disappointed. It is one of the closest to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. We chose a private room with bath and it was just $69 per night in early October. Everything was clean, with old/antique furniture, and a comfortable mattress. The only downside was that the room was in the front of... More

This is certainly a steal! We stayed in the Marshall room which was very spacious. The whole inn was booked on the Friday night that we stayed but we didn't hear any noise from other guests or from the road that other reviews claim to be noisy. The bathroom we shared with those across the hall was very spacious, well... More

We planned on spending one night at the Stone House but ended up spending two due to a death in the family. The first night we were in an crowded room with an unnecessarily huge bathroom and overlooking the back of the main building...but at least it was inexpensive. The second night they moved us to the "Marshall" room in... More

most convenient to enjoy the offerings of the Laurel Highlands in SW PA. It is located on the National Highway or Braddock Road (Rt 40) surveyed by George Washington in 1754. It has served guests with beef...a smoke pit and artisal beers since 1822. Look for the bear in the dining room. You can get a period room or opt... More

We were in the area visiting Fallingwater and decided on the spur of the moment not to return to central Ohio but to stay overnight. We chose Stone House Inn for the reasonable prices and the history of being a National Road stop for almost 200 years. We arrived in the evening and were warmly greeted. The restaurant was busy...
