Walked into this hotel with an emergency because it was the only place open at 8am in the Baltimore Harbor within a reasonable distance and was greeted with a very unfriendly and unsympathetic staff. I'm a meeting planner and will never bring a meeting to this hotel knowing how my attendees may be treated by the staff.

The Royal Sonesta is located within walking distance of everything in the Inner Harbor (can also walk to Federal Hill area). The staff is very attentive and friendly. We upgraded to a suite and it was worth it. The room was VERY spacious with a great harbor view. Explorers restaurant/bar has good food and late night drinks. It's a great... More

I am glad that our team provided such memorable service during your recent stay! Our spacious harborview suites are well worth the extra money, from the spacious layout to the stunning harbor views via two floor-to-ceiling bay windows, and of course one can't forget the amazing bath with the huge soaking tub, double vanity including built-in HDTV, and the separate... This hotel is in the perfect location, right in the middle of the Inner Harbor area, an easy walk to any of the attractions. My husband and I splurged on a harbor view room, and it was worth every penny. Those rooms have a front and center view of the Inner Harbor, I did not see any other hotel that... More

Booked 3 nights to see the Yankees play at Camden yards.. Stayed at the Royal Sonesta in the Inner Harbor at Baltimore and had a horrible experience. First the price was doubled because the Yankees were in town, and they completely did not have enough staff to accommodate the amount of people. 3 days, the room was never cleaned. Had... More

Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience via Expedia, Trip Advisor, and Facebook in order to bring the circumstances of your stay with us to my attention. I certainly apologize for the service you experienced, as it is unacceptable and clearly not the norm for our hotel, as you can see by the dozens of great... More

This is my second year staying at the Royal Sonesta for a business summit. The renovations made over this past year are stunning. The hotel has a bit of European feel to it, along with friendly, helpful, courteous staff. The unique amenities and charm are also lovely surprises not found in other hotels in the harbor area. Will be happy... More

Thank you for your comments about our recently completed renovation! The transformation of the hotel has been stunning to behold; while we were always considered one of the jewels of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, the modern touches added to our classic European design certainly have added a lot of functionality and convenience for our guests. For instance, our newly designed guestrooms... More

I found the Royal Sonesta very disappointing. I paid around$280. per night when you include parking. The complimentary water was not in my room, was told I could purchase some in the fitness center. Only one chardonnay was available at the bar...Where was a manager that could take care of these things that had run out. Additionally our neighbors kept... More

My daughter, son and I stayed here on our return trip from Pennsylvania. What a Hotel. Beautiful, has all the bells and whistles comfortable beds, there is a courtyard on the 7th floor that is a must see. It offers views of the HardRock Cafe and the Inner Harbor. I am very impressed with the hotel, and If I ever... More

So I decided to plan a sneak getaway for hubby and I to celebrate our anniversary (31 years!), but as it turned out, we both had to work that Friday and would be arriving late. I called the hotel and spoke with Allison Makell. I think she heard the stress/disappointment in my voice, she made a note of our late... More

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Baltimore to attend a wedding at the Aquarium. Our visit got off to a great start with the incredible valet team. Seriously, the valets were awesome. Stayed here while on business in Baltimore. Brought my 16-year-old son. The location was perfect for touristy things and access to the charm city circulator. Beds were very comfortable as one of the pillows. Had a nice view of the bee sculpture and the pool was great. Racquetball was also fun and you can check out rackets and balls at... More
