This is a charming old hotel, and very inexpensive -- anyone who was looking for an elevator or special amenities wasn't paying attention. I agree the bathroom toiletries weren't great -- I think the rooms should have good quality soap, but the hotel could keep other high-quality things at the front desk for anyone who requests them. The price is... More

"Location, location, location" it's said. The Biltmore Suites had prime location for activities for a New Year's Day in Baltimore. Hoping a presumed old-world charm, its location in upscale Mt Vernon, and low price would trump some negative reviews, we booked it. Regrettably for hotels, more than location is important. The Biltmore's "charm" isn't old-world; it's ancient-world. Forget elevators; access... More

We apologize for the issue you experienced at our hotel. We will look into why the heating unit was generating the smell you noticed. While we do have Suites with a King and Queen bed, you had reserved a Room with Two Queen beds, which is why we gave you a Room with Two Queen beds. The phones in the... More

I stayed at the Biltmore Suites Hotel expecting something more pleasurable especially with the Biltmore Name. Although the Hotel has a yesteryear charm it is very worn and not conducive for anyone with physical limitations to stay at nor is it welcoming, with the exception of the front desk gentleman. You have to go up 2 sets of stairs just... More

We thank you for providing your thoughts about our hotel. We will address the issue with the staff regarding the bathroom toiletries and the also the front desk behavior. As the hotel was built in 1880, there are stairs from the street to our lobby. We have a suite on the lobby floor but it only has one bed, hence,... More

It was a weird hotel but it has a charm to it it's definitely antique. Great price clean bathroom, comfy bed! Hot shower! Close to everything including the light train in the corner. The room was comfortable. Yes it has it flaws in the ceiling but I had no problems and the parking was 3$ a night!! Can't beat that!he... More

Quirky. If you have a sense of fun and a love of nostalgia, you will enjoy the hotel. The room while not granite and state of the art, was comfortable and quiet. The view of the cathedral across the street breathtaking and wonderful. The staircase dizzyingly satisfying with its view straight down from the landings. It is within walking distance to... More

Please accept our appreciation for offering your comments on our hotel. The staircase is the original one that was restored in the mid-1980s. We believe that our neighborhood of Mount Vernon is the most unique one in Baltimore with shops, restaurants and cultural entities within walking distance from our hotel. If guests inform us ahead of time, we can make... More

We stayed here in mid-April 2015 for two nights, a Thursday and a Friday, just before the riots in Baltimore got bad. This hotel is in a residential neighborhood, across from an impressive looking Presbyterian church. The neighborhood is quite walkable, and seemed pretty safe. We picked this hotel based mostly on price - knowing full well that you don't... More

Wanted somewhere close to the Lyric Opera House. Found it. Free street parking on weekends. Good start. You have to ring a doorbell to get access to the place, day or night. Super helpful woman buzzed me in the building, checked me in quickly and pointed me to my room. Down a hall, out a back door, through a courtyard... More

We appreciate you taking the time to offer your comments on our hotel. Since our buildings date from the 1800s, some of the ceilings are high hence more stairs. We picked this hotel for its location (walkable to Myerhoff) and price (very affordable). It was good for both of those things. Location was excellent for walking to Myerhoff, but with few pedestrians and one bar en route at 11pm, it didn't feel as safe as I would have preferred. I'm sure for more city oriented folks, they would be... More

I stayed at the Biltmore Suites Hotel expecting a more pleasurable stay than say from one of the budget motels near the interstate, boy was I wrong. The Hotel itself has an exterior charm reminiscent of a old movie. Inside is decent visually. The room itself was no better than a roadside motel. Where the roadside motel towers over this... More

I am a very open minded and relaxed traveler. However these positive reviews are entirely off base in my opinion. The price is good. However, that does not excuse the absolutely horribly STRONG scent of some kind to cover up some other odor in the room I presumed and the dusty dirty appearance of everything. I had to immediately open... More
