If you are going to Baltimore, there is only one place to stay - 4 East Madison Inn. From the moment I telephoned and spoke with one of the partners, to the time we checked out, I have never been so cosseted nor comfortable. 4 Madison is located in midtown Baltimore commonly called Mt. Vernon. This area has every conceivable... more

I've stayed at this b&b a couple of times through out the years it's been open on my visits to Baltimore. The time was magnificent and new. Upon my next visit it seemed to me as though the place had been unkept for awhile, this made me hesitant to go back. But when I had to attend another business meeting... more

This hotel is sooo very close to the Opera House. You can catch a cab to anywhere-they are always going by. There are plenty of places to eat that are with in walking distance - with many being local. Delish! The breakfast that comes with your stay here is good. At breakfast we met others who had attended the Opera...then... more

We have been in a lot of B&Bs so we have a lot of comparison points and this was one of the worst ever. When we got there the first thing we noticed was the absolutely terrible cleanliness. Our room was so dirty that my wife would not put our things down on the dresser until she dusted it. The... more

Let's start with the good: the location was good. We could walk to the inner harbor in about 15 minutes and the immediate area was safe to walk around. We've stayed at a lot of B&Bs and I must say this was the worst one yet. The inn was very old, but that shouldn't excuse it from being a house... more

4 East Madison Inn was on a list of suggested hotels in Baltimore that was included in my daughter's commencement packet. We really couldn't afford the overpriced Inner Harbor hotels and had stayed at two other Mount Vernon area hotels already and were unhappy with them. This hotel offered free parking which is a big deal in Baltimore. It was... more

We held our wedding at the Inn and stayed there together with all our overseas guests. Attentive service, relaxed atmosphere, lovely large rooms, perfect location and a delightful garden. We tended to linger over good breakfast and several pots of coffee. more

The B&B community in Baltimore is unusually friendly, and one host responded to an unexpectedly cancelled reservation by suggesting that we try this new boutique hotel. The inn's convenient location is one block from the Washington monument and an easy walk from popular local restaurants. One co-owner breezily announced, "I've made an executive decision to give you a larger room... more
