I have been staying at the Inn at the Black Olive roughly every six months since the Fall of 2011. While it has changed since it opened (I truly miss their amazing complimentary breakfasts but understand that would be hard to keep up and some of their old front desk folks were fabulous), it is still a fantastic, relaxing experience... My husband and I visit Baltimore every 4-6 weeks as we have family here and find the city very charming. Fells Point is our usual go-to place to stay. Unfortunately our recent visit coincided with the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner festivities and there were no places to stay other than the Inn at the Black Olive. After reading... There is a nice garage right next door, but no connection to the hotel, so it's kind of expensive. Also you're stuck on Sundays. They need an exhaust fan the bathrooms and a dressing mirror in the bedrooms. Also, the lights and outlets are weird. I got stuck in utter blackness in the shower. Had to be rescued by my... More

My husband and I spent a recent birthday weekend at the Inn at the Black Olive. We chose it in part due to other customer reviews and its sustainability practices, and we were not disappointed. We arrived early to find that our original room was not yet available but were upgraded to the VIP suite - a beautiful space with... More

I've been to a number of life changing hotels and inns in my life. I would expect that kind of experience from a place in Guatemala or Seattle or Europe. I would not expect it in my hometown. I live in Maryland and have an office in Camden Yards in Baltimore, yet when a client decided to have the company's... More

This hotel is a serious contender in a city full of 4 and 5 star hotels. My stay was on an emergency basis, and was on a very stressful situation. The staff at the Inn took care of me by having dinner in my room or bringing things long after the restaurant had closed. HUGE MASSIVE suites and very nice.... More

Wow...my partner Ben and I had a beautiful weekend thanks to this charming place. I'm Greek and immediately felt at home and welcomed by the attentive and diverse staff. From the moment we walked in, I felt like I was in Glyfada enjoying the beautiful views of the water and the calm hustle of people. The food the food the... More

I had dinner at the restaurant and sat outside. Javier was one of my servers, and he was absolutely wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to answer my questions about the city as well. You definitely have a gem working there and should be very happy to have him. I look forward to visiting again.

Our second stay here, and compelled for our first time writing a review like this. Unique, spacious, warm, delightful and a great value. Made our work trips easy and pleasurable. Excellent rooftop restaurant. At edge of quaint Fell's Point and short waterfront walk to Harbor hotels and shops. Rooms and bathrooms like apartments with views of harbor. Can't wait to... More
