Nestled in the heart of the city, the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor boasts a blend of historic charm and modern cleanliness that guests have called out. While the hotel's elegant decor is appreciated, some visitors feel the ambiance doesn't always live up to expectations in certain areas, appearing somewhat dated. The service is generally applauded for its attentiveness; however, a few guests have experienced lapses in responsiveness. Despite the grandeur of the building, the value proposition is met with mixed reviews, as some travelers find the amenities don't quite justify the premium price point.

We stayed in the hotel and had a really nice time at B&O. Our bartender Myra was really wonderful. We ordered some chicken wings and had multiple cocktails, Myra really executed it well. The room was really nice but the shower head might need an upgrade.

We were travelling with family and arrived on a bitterly cold, snowy Friday. As soon as our Uber pulled up to the front door, we were greeted by a lovely man who quickly gathered up all of our luggage and got us inside and up to the lobby on the second floor. Muhammed warmly greeted us at the front desk and was extremely friendly, courteous and anxious to assist. We requested connecting rooms at the last minute and after settling in, we realized that one of the room's heaters was not working. The front desk person at that point was wonderful woman named Meeta (sp?) who responded immediately and sent a maintenance person. Long story short, we ended moving both rooms to maintain our room connection. The entire staff was so friendly, pleasant, professional and responsive. We enjoyed the wine hour sitting by the fire, ate several meals at the B&O restaurant with fun and entertaining service provided by Jamo in the mornings. We also were served by the evening bartender who handled a huge crowd after the Raven's game with style and finesse. We then had the pleasure of meeting Junior, who like the rest of the staff went above and beyond to provide warm and wonderful service and a fantastic guest experience. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome!

Stayed here for one night on a Sat in Jan. It was fine for one evening as a place to crash and we were only there about 14 hours total but as others have mentioned, this property is not even close to Kimpton standards. I've stayed in Kimpton properties all over the US and never had a bad experience but this is the first Kimpton "Monaco" I've stayed in. I've noticed Kimpton properties specifically branded Hotel Monaco tend to always be in "vintage" buildings compared regular Kimptons. Perhaps that's on brand, not sure, but if so, I'll now always stay at a regular Kimpton and not a Hotel Monaco. This building may have an old school charm but everything about the interior is just too well worn. The room itself, was plenty large and had comfortable bedding, but overall has definitely seen better days with peeling wallpaper in some places and stained curtains that look like they're from the 50's. The exhaust fan was so loud it kept us all up and the only reason we didn't switch rooms is we needed a room with two queens and all of their double queen rooms are on the same line on each floor so it would have been the same duct line anyway. There was only one person staffing the front desk every time we went there and the hotel was crowded so it took a while to check in. Complementary Happy Hour is a great Kimpton perk, and while this hotel did offer it, there were too many guests taking advantage of it and only one staffer making sure there were enough wine and glasses (The same person manning the front desk) so they were playing catch up. In the morning the complementary coffee was lukewarm at best. Not sure why Kimpton would have a property in such an old building in a sketchy location. Sorry Baltimore, but your downtown is just sketchy. The Kimptons in NYC are all super sleek and in modern buildings but this is the polar opposite.

Thank you for sharing your experience at Hotel Monaco Baltimore. The building was built in 1904 and was the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Headquarters. All Monaco's within Kimpton are going to be in historic buildings across the U.S. I apologize for the overall guestroom quality and happy to share the guestrooms will be renovated this year. I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future after the renovation. Please reach out to me directly at jgilligan@monaco-baltimore.com if I can be of any additional assistance with this past or future reservations.

The hotel, converted from the 1900's is elegant and stately. 12 ft ceilings in the room, bespoke furnishings and an extraordinary staff that goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Junior and Chip, especially, model how to treat guests like royalty.

We have stayed at the Baltimore Kimpton Monaco several times and have always enjoyed our stays there. The accommodations are excellent and the building is a real classic. But what sets it apart is the warm and friendly staff. We were greeted by the parking valets who were very helpful with our luggage. We checked in with Junior at the front desk who took great pains to find us a room that we wanted and was able to let us check in early. All in all, a great stay at a very reasonable price. We'll be back for sure

Beautiful vintage hotel near the Inner Harbor. They upgraded us to a very nice corner-unit suite on the top floor for our Anniversary and we had a wonderful time. Everyone at the hotel were very professional and a special shout-out to Antonio, Junior and Mohammed for making the visit very special.

When I shell out $2000 for 3 nights - I expect much more than I received here. It is gauty version of Motel 6 and sadly, I wished it wasn't so as I had such hopes. Approaching the hotel late at night, the valet approaches us with eyes bugged out and wreaking of the smell of weed. We approached the front door and there was literally trash as it had not been swpet in days it looked like. When we entered an OPULENT entrance, very well appointed and beautiful - we were expecting the smell of an upper class hotel but everywhere was the smell of weed. The hall ways were filled with the smell of weed - it was overwhelming. The room - we opulent and the bathroom was well above average. All the doors down the hallway are seriously scuffed up and in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. During the night, the toilet backed up and we called the front desk every 10 minutes for hours with no answer. FInally I walked to the front desk and no one was there. Finally after I kept calling out someone walked out and told me they would get one right to me. We never heard from the front desk. I was so very disappointed in my stay. Had I paid the price of a motel 6, I would not be disappointed.

Gorgeous building full of unique details everywhere. The entrance stairs are majestic!! Staff was super friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed wine from 5-6 served by the very handsome hotel manager. This will be on top most beautiful hotels to stay. I wish I had more free time to do a photoshoot or create content.
