4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This Monaco sits on a grand historical site. In addition to being pet friendly, this hotel is also extremely kid friendly. Some rooms have built-in alcoves which house a bunk bed, a wall-sized dog picture, and a gaming station with two controllers and one gaming chair. Definitely an excellent alternative to having your kids on a cot in the room.... More

one of the most disappointing experiences of my business travel career. no one to greet you or to help you with your bags at curbside. no signs to tell you that the lobby is a floor above. robotic front desk people to not help you with your reservation ( I called an hour and a half ahead of time to... "Where everybody knows your name"? Okay, ratchet that up several luxury notches and you'll get how you feel checking in at the Monaco. And while I'm pretty sure not everyone really knows my name as I walk in the door, the reception desk welcome sure makes it feel like they do. Come to think of it, even the guy outside... More

I've stayed at the Monaco many times, and will continue to view it as the go-to place in Baltimore. It's very efficient. The rooms are nice and tidy and comfortable. Most of the service is excellent. The restaurant is really good. I completely recommend it. The only reason that mention that the service was "mostly" excellent is because housekeeping staff... More

As a Kimpton fan and Karma member, I intentionally chose this hotel. A very huge mistake ! I did not receive any of the guest treatment that I have received in multiple other Kimpton properties. The lack of customer care from arrival to departure truly made this a horrible, yet pricey experience!

First off the building that the hotel Monaco is in is breathtaking! I really enjoy how they pay homage to the it's railroad history and how they kept most of it the same while adding their own flair here and there. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The lobby is beautiful and they have complimentary tea and coffee in... More

It was so beautiful with soothing colors from lobby to room, big bathroom and room with lots of space. Great mini bar, front desk service (Peggy or Patty- very helpful!), and that lobby fireplace with 5pm wine hour?! Perfection! The marble stairs & historic feel were lovely. Also love that it's pet-friendly, & seeing those 4-legged visitors! The ONLY negative... More

This is my third visit to this hotel. Once again, this hotel made us never want to stay any other place in Baltimore. My boyfriend and I came her for our anniversary and stayed two nights. We were upgraded to a larger room and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. As usual, the room was immaculate, roomy and... More

We stayed here for a wedding, so had a special deal on the price. Location was pretty central and the hotel was easy to find. The valet is $38 per day, so we parked around the corner for $18 instead. Check in was easy. The hotel has an old world charm, but was dated, although the rooms were updated and... More

It's too bad that I was just passing through Baltimore, because I would have loved a longer stay at the Monaco. The first thing you note and feel is the grandeur of this building. It was once the headquarters of the B&O Railroad. Lots of stained glass and marble. My check in (on the second floor) was fast, friendly and... More
