We stayed here for two nights recently on a visit to see our son in Baltimore. The location of this hotel is great-right near Johns Hopkins, many eating options, etc. We rented the "queen suite" and very very surprised at how roomy it was! A full bedroom and a sitting room with a sleeper sofa. Each room had its own... More

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel, alone. CONS:This hotel didn't have a micowave, tub (if you have small children), or a refrigerator. There is not a fireplace in every room, so you'll probably have to request this if you want one. The walls were very thin, it's an older hotel. Breakfast was ok. Some hot foods, some dry/cold foods.... More

I stayed here with my daughter and had the room by the front desk. I actually liked the location of the room. But I found the staff barely tolerant of us and only getting an "uh-huh" upon checkout after saying thank you to the person at the front desk. I am a very friendly person and expect the same in... We booked this hotel for the weekend of the Preakness. At check-in the staff was friendly and informed us about the parking situation, which was either $18 a day in their tiny, hard-to-maneuver-in garage, or you could park on the street over night and move your car by 9am. Not being told where we'd be able to move it to... More

They told me I would not have to pay for parking and they charged me $18.00 for 12 hours anyway! It was quiet enough but the TV was not plugged in nor did it get many channels. the bathroom drain didn't drain. The breakfast was good as was the location.

Truthfully, the Hopkins Inn is not bad for what you pay. My room was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom seemed to be recently updated. But my first floor room shared a wall with the lobby and had tons of noise from both the 24hr staff and the street. Earplugs didn't even work. If you stay here, insist on a room... More

It's right next to Johns Hopkins's Homewood Campus but it was terrible - they didn't have enough pillows, they gave us the wrong code for parking, there was no soap in the bathroom, and the heater kept revving up all night preventing us from having an adequate sleep. The breakfast the next morning was mediocre. Those that worked there were... More

My recent stay here was great!! The smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the morning and a hot breakfast to start the day. We arrived at 1:30am and the staff on shift was there to great us with a quick check-in and friendly service. The manager had snacks and sparkling cider for New Year's Eve & the sitting area... More

I checked into this hotel at 9pm after a long trip, had to wal all the way up to the fourth floor. Carpets were crusted with dirt, bed had broken springs that popped and boinged when you laid on it, the phone was not connected to the front desk (had to dial in on my cell phone), no local TV... If you're used to Hiltons, Marriotts, or even Holiday Inns, this inn isn't for you. It's like some decent but tiny room in an inexpensive tourist hotel in a quiet section of Rome or Nice or Glasgow with a bed that's adequate (although friends in another room said that their mattress was V-shaped), a wide-screened TV, and virtually no other...
