The room was fine; larger than I had expected. The bed, however, was a disaster. The mattress was so old that it was like sleeping in a hammock making it very uncomfortable for 2 people. Also, the bathroom sink was dirty with the last guest's hair and soap in the basin and on the ledge. The staff was a bunch... more

Looking charming from the photos and description, expectations were high for our family 5 day visit in an old inn. Several older members were given rooms on the highest floors-nothing says there is no elevator. The place was really dirty. The housekeepers appeared to be unsupervised, the so-called breakfasts were a disaster. Serving table dirty, insufficient food, out of spoons,... more

The Inn is charming--with a muddled Victorian motif. It reminded me of places that I have stayed in England. However, the staff was very unprofessional and lazy. As I sat in the lounge two of the members of the staff gossiped and complained about other guests. One called a frequent guest "high maintenance" because she wanted clean towels. They disparaged... more

We were looking for an inexpensive, clean convenient place to stay for a family wedding at the Inner Harbor. The Hopkins Inn was perfect. Location: It is right in the middle of the Johns Hopkins campus. We spent a morning walking around the neighborhood and stopped for lunch at a little cafe. A large bookstore is just a couple doors... more

Upon entering the room a mouse checked in your room before we did. General Manager never spoke with us about this matter. It seemed to be a everyday matter. No one was interested at all. Breakfast was a mess. Wireless internet didn't work. Wouldn't recommend for a Mouse to stay! more

If you like your showers cold, your hotel staff uninterested and your room cheesy, faux Victorian this is the hotel for you. I had to visit someone at JH Hospital and wasn't there but at night, but it was still pretty miserable. The soda machine was broken for the entire duration of my stay, so I was out of luck... more

I thought this was the worst place I have ever stayed. It reminded me of what was called a flop house... Narrow dingy hallways, the room was tiny and had no closet there was a really cheap looking clothes rack beside the bed.. We got locked in the garage and had to call the front desk to come and let... more

Upon taking over at the Hopkins Inn in late November 2007, I would have had to agree with some of the reviews on this site. The property was in need of a renovation. Let me tell you that I am proud to say the Hopkins Inn has completed this renovation and we are extremely satisfied with our property. All of...

This is a modest place that proudly shows it roots as an 90 year old apartment building. There is no elevator, but we had no problem with a few stairs. The building is in an area with several new complexes among the older homes. Johns Hopkins University campus is a block away. Visitors to Hopkins can call the hotel for... more

The price and location is good, if you need to visit Johns Hopkins. That's about it! Beware that the inn is old, has not been recently renovated, has five levels, and NO ELEVATOR. The staff was neither professional, nor very helpful. I witness an elderly couple checking in and when they learned their room was on the 3rd floor asked... more
