It's the little touches that make Blue Door such a great B&B. Nightly treats, mighty leaf tea, and a fully stocked "library" (with games, coffee/tea, water, refrigerator) are only a few of the awesome elements of this Inn. The breakfasts are divine (the Amish cinnamon bread is addictive--I miss it as I type). It's a fairly close walk to Fells... More

I treated my family to a wonderful 2-night stay at the Blue Door last week. I had stayed here 2 years ago, and raved about it so much that my wife wanted so badly to see it. We arrived about an hour before our scheduled check-in, but we were greeted by Roger, who raised the gate for us in the... More

This B&B, three blocks from the beautiful Patterson Park and very close to Johns Hopkins Medical Center, is a perfect place to stay! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and all have large private baths. Roger, our very friendly and charming host, is a spectacular cook and his breakfasts are amazing. He was also a great resource for information on visiting... More

We stayed at the Blue Door for 2 nites, in the Hampden room (top floor) which has a small balcony from which you can see rooftops and parts of harbor. The home is immaculate, Roger was extremely helpful, knowledgeable about the area, made recommendations, and his cooking talents could easily qualify him to run a restaurant. The 2 breakfasts he... This is an absolute gem of a place and certainly a ‘must’ if you’re planning to visit Baltimore. The rooms are exceptionally clean, spacious and attractively furnished and we found the whole atmosphere of the Blue Door very tranquil, calm and relaxing. During our two-week visit to the Baltimore/Washington area, including stays at a number of hotels, the Blue Door... More

This was my fourth or fifth visit to the Blue Door and, as always, it was wonderful. I needed a quiet place at night as I helped out with busy nearby grandchildren during the day and the Blue Door delivered quiet solitude, finely appointed surroundings, and generous amenities. Roger and Cecelia are wonderful hosts. I will definitely return.

The Blue Door Inn is in a charming section of Baltimore close enough to the Harbor and Fells Point; yet far enough to allow a pleasant walk after all that great Baltimore seafood. Roger and Cecelia are excellent hosts; clearly enjoying their guests. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented by a master... More

We are repeat guests at The Blue Door! It is such an oasis from the moment you walk in the front door and are given a lemon scented warm towel to wash the journey from your hands to the spacious, inviting rooms. Claw foot tubs, separate shower, plush towels, warm robes, evening snacks brought to your door, 24/7 tea or... More

We spent two nights in Baltimore earlier this week, and it was a fantastic trip, thanks in no small part to the Blue Door. Roger was a great host, the breakfasts were lovely, and the room was to die for -- clean, comfortable, with the luxurious touches of the soaking tub (I want that tub for my very own), evening... First time trying a B&B. very clean and elegant! The Blue Door lives up to the excellent reviews. The Patterson Room on the 2nd floor with a rear balcony was way better and much roomier than a hotel room. The bathroom was an unusually large room, and having a clawfoot bathtub, and a separate shower. The kingsize and very comfortable... More
