This is a great place. I only wish I'd stayed here more than one night. The room we stayed in (room 7) was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. The antique furniture is lovely. The bed was the most convertible bed I had on a 2 week long vacation. Free wifi; Tv room. Breakfast in the morning was perfect.... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Veranda, albeit a short one. We stayed in the carriage house, which was perfect for a family of 5; it has 2 king bedrooms, as well as a sitting room and small kitchen. Everything was clean, and the breakfast served each morning was great! My only desire would have been to have a... More

We stayed two nights in the Garden Cottage at the back of the house. It had two comfortable padded lounge chairs, an overhead fan and a comfortable bed. The well-lit room was not too spacious, and there was not much storage space. There was a refrigerator with a tiny freezer for ice cubes. The large bathroom had a shower but... More

This was a quaint B & B in the sleepy town of Fort Davis, a gem of a place in the lovely desert mountains. I loved the antiques in each room and the layout of the hotel, with the beautifully appointed courtyard. It made me feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed talking with the other guests,... More

We stayed a couple of nights in the Carriage House at the Veranda. I can say that it was a very decent stay. The breakfast was great. The first night we ate Apple Pancakes that I want every morning for the rest of my life (tad exaggeration). The buffet breakfast on the second day was a pleasure surprise as well.... More

We (retired Virginia couple) spent two nights at the Veranda in mid-October, as a convenient central location for brief visits to the Fort Davis Historic Site, the McDonald Observatory, and the town of Marfa. This is a lovely century-old inn with comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast, and a quiet setting just around the corner from Fort Davis's charming little Main... More

My husband and I enjoyed the Veranda Inn and it's location (very central to the main drag of Fort Davis. The room (#6) was nice and tidy and BIG. The bathroom was really nice, too. And we LOVED the breakfast (sausage pie, fresh fruit, homemade zucchini muffins) and the treats that were available on arrival (brownies)! Miss Eleanor is one... More

We stayed here with several other family members, and everyone was pleased with the accommodations. David was a gracious host, and helped us select things to do during our stay. Breakfasts were lovely. Rooms are comfortable, and decor is authentic to the era of the home. No TVs in the rooms, which was fine by us. A great central location... More

The Inn is lovely, historical, very comfortable. There is no TV in the room, but we enjoyed using the library in the evening and could have used the TV there. What was really amazing was the cooking! There were cookies on the hall cupboard and we did take advantage of them. And I really need to amp up my company... More

My wife and I stayed here over the 4th of July celebration weekend, and were a little leary at being located at the front of the inn, streetside, and just a half block from all the festival activities. But it turned out to be quite comfortable, with very little street noise, except for occasional conversations which we could overhear from... More
