Cabin was nice and clean. Bath was very small but also very clean. Beds were very comfortable, we slept great. Owners were very nice. Would go back again. Be sure to visit balmorhea state park. Only a 30 minute drive from here.

Enjoyed a three-night stay here...the location was great for visiting Marfa, Big Bend National Park, Balmorrhea State Park, Ft. Davis and McDonald Observatory. It was quiet and seemed clean. The only drawbacks were that the bathroom is truly tiny and the water pressure was very low in the shower. It was a good deal for the price. Knowing get what... More

These accommodations are free standing duplexes (back to back so each occupant had their own porch ). Ours (for two people) was one room w a queen bed, microwave, little refrigerator and coffeemaker. The bathroom was tiny (a pocket door provided privacy) with the only sink in the main room. The room served its needs fine. My only real complaint... More

Rustic cabins with beautiful views. At least our cabin #9 had a beautiful view. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Gorgeous starry skies at night. Pet friendly! Teeny bathroom. Bring your bug spray! As of this writing, they do not serve any kind of meal including breakfast, so you are on your own there.

We always take a cabin that faces out onto the prairie and enjoy sitting on the front deck in the evenings. This visit was very late in the season and no one was present in the office during our visit (and we missed seeing the again very much). This property is well located, peaceful, and the cabins are enjoyable if... More

Got lucky and found this gem, last minute. Rooms fill up fast around here! Had the most comfortable beds and linens! The a/c hadn't been on long prior to our arrival due to the late notice of our visit, but we unloaded our stuff and headed to balmorhea for a cool dip in the pool and returned later and the... More

This is an awesome getaway location. We stayed here 2 nights and we loved it. We come to Ft. Davis at least once a year and recently found this gem. This little place tops the Big Ranch we used to stay at before. The customer service was awesome. The breakfast was fabulous. The setting is outstanding. Pet friendly! Our Fox... More

Quiet, exceptionally clean. Friendly owners who make you feel at home. Perfect for my weekend trip to the area. I stayed in cabin 22 which was the closest to the highway, but noise was not an issue. No television, and that was GREAT! No temptation to turn it on just for noise. A nice front porch to sit and enjoy... More

Very clean, very comfortable, very friendly! Disappointed there is no longer breakfast, but the BBQ was fabulous! Wasn't sure what to do with the key when I checked out, the door to the lodge was locked, so I put it in the doorknob of my cabin,,,and a suggestion would be to include tea in the rooms with the coffee maker.... Such a great gem in the desert. Clean, quiet and perfect for a getaway! Cabin was immaculate and comfortable. Recommend for a family vacation or romantic jaunt. Odd number cabins overlook the uninterrupted desert and mountains. Amazing!
