My husband and I made the trip from the Granbury, TX area several years ago and it was one of the best we ever made. We always planned to go back and take the rest of the family. The weather didn't cooperate much as we had lots of fog and rain, so we weren't able to enjoy all the views,... more

I have stayed at Indian Lodge several times. All of my stays have been really nice. One time I got booked into the new section. It was nice but almost like being at a Holiday Inn, except there was a nice view out of the window. When you make your reservations, specify that you want to stay in the old... more

My husband and I stayed at the Indian Lodge during the first week of March. It was beautiful and very quiet in the lodge area. We loved the room; big and clean with excellent views. I recommend getting the top rooms; they have the best views and the king-size beds. Our room number was 122 ($113 per night). Comfortable bed,... more

This is the second time we have stayed at the Indian Lodge. The Lodge is a beautiful historical property in the middle of the Davis Mountains. It is operated by the park service. Our room was in the historical portion of the hotel. The room was clean. The only problem with the room is a double bed for two people,... more

This really is the only option if you want to stay inside the park, and don’t like the idea of a tent, and it is a good choice. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable; the bathroom is small but functional. No phone or internet conections. The restaurant is o.k. – nothing exceptional but you get big portions for a reasonable... more

This wonderful Texas Park Lodge has been redone, and was an incredible place for our family. Rooms were simply, but very clean, food was good, pool nice. Everyone had a blast hiking, biking, birdwatching and relaxing. more

My family and I were here back in July. This place is the best. We had no cell phone service, no internet, but that worked for me. The room and bathroom were big, clean and comfortable. The room had a TV with cable and telephone but no microwave or refrigerator but wasn't high priority anyway. All in all very nice... more

Just got back from the "renovated" Indian Lodge for quick overnight stay that cost $118.00 nite. . Clerk stated to us we would love the room. It was a suite in the very far back in the original bldg. It was great until I thought someone was trying to break in and in reality--people above us were just walking around... more

After a full day of driving from Austin, we were thrilled to find ourselves at the Indian Lodge. Our kids had a great time investigating the grounds and the rooms were spacious and clean. It was a perfect place to rest up before heading out to the McDonald Observatory. It was our first stop of about 8 hotels on this... more

The Indian Lodge was wonderful! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at--and I have traveled more than many folks. All it needed was fluffy bathrobes and high-end soaps/shampoos and I would have thought I was in a 5-star hotel! It's hard to believe it was in a State Park. The rooms were perfect--fresh cookies and a note... more
