We were more than pleased with our stay at the Lodge. Everyone was super helpful. Rooms in the original section were unique. They were built by the CCC in the 1930's.Also located higher than than the newer sections giving good views. They had been recently renovated. Lovely covers on the beds with southwestern theme throws. The outdoor sitting areas individual... More

Stayed two nights - very pleasant place. Rooms wee clean, the facility nicely maintained, the staff helpful. And the price (stayed there after schools had started) was reasonable. While there was free internet, it was not consistently available through out the Lodge More

My family had a great time staying at Indian Lodge, which is in the middle of Fort Davis State Park. Even though wild fires had swept through the area, the park and lodge were spared, and wildlife was everywhere - driving back one night, we saw javelinas, deer, and even a gray fox! The park rangers and staff were very... More

We stayed at the Indian Lodge for one night following a road trip to Big Bend National Park. Davis Mountains State Park, where Indian Lodge is located, is cooler and greener than Big Bend, but the best part of this Park is the Lodge. Indian Lodge is a restored CCC facility that is a gem of the Texas parks system.... More

Loved this place and the area so much we hated to leave. We didn't have enough time or money to stay long enough so we will have to return! Everyone was so so unbelievably nice and helpful. Our room was in the newer part and was wonderful. We were allowed to look at some of the older too and they... More

I stayed here with my children when visiting the area. We liked the location a lot and the park setting was just beautiful. We also really liked the adobe architecture. The lady at the front desk was friendly and made the check in really easy. Everything else is really mediocre. The rooms were average. Furniture and decor is outdated. The... More

I had stayed at this lodge some 35 years before and had fond memories. It was not bad but unlike the Gage does not seem to have gotten better with age. Perhaps it was simply that it was rather hot and dry and the setting was less inspired that I recalled, still if you are going to an evening sky... More

Indian Lodge, located deep inside the Davis Mountains State Park, is a real gem. I visited with my family when I was a kid and wanted to take my 14-year-old son to see it now that it's been updated and added on to. So glad we went. We stayed there while visiting the nearby McDonald Observatory (as did lots of... More

My partner and I stayed in one of the renovated rooms... and were impressed with size of the room. We stayed 2 nights, and thought we'd be fine staying in that size room (2 double beds) for a week or so. We LOVED the proximity to West Texas attractions. We were a short drive to the McDonald Observatory and Marfa,... More
