5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We only stayed for one night and it wasn't even close to enough time to explore and enjoy all this place had to offer. Our room was clean and roomy. My cousin stayed in another single bed room on the historic side which had a fire place (that wasn't in use anymore) but her room was also the perfect size.... More

Indian Lodge is nestled in the mountains of the Davis Mountains. Along with camping and RV'ing spots, this full-service hotel is run by the the Texas State Park Service. The hotel was built in the 30s by the CCC. There is a newer addition, including the swimming pool. My husband and I stayed two nights in the original section of... More

Spent 4 days here. You don't need to stop in at the front headquarters if you are staying at the lodge. There is a restaurant that is pretty good. The scenic drive inside the park is very nice. When up at the highest part, looking down you will see what looks like an installation...it's not, it's a tomato farm. About... More

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We stayed in the historical part of Indian Lodge. The room was beautiful, PEACEFUL, rustic, and had a cozy feel. Mountains all around. I was able to capture a beautiful morning sunrising above the mountains from our share patio area. GREAT if your into hiking, star gazing, and photography.

This is a hard review to write because there is so much to say. Your experience here will depend on what you are looking for. This lodge is a true lodge. So when I say 'rustic' that's not a quaint euphemism for cute. This lodge is part of Texas Parks and Wildlife inside Davis Mountains State Park. As it is... More

Last week, I embarked on a West Texas adventure with some girlfriends during Viva Big Bend Music Festival. This was my second time in the region and wanted to try lodging options other than hotels. I was SO IMPRESSED with Indian Lodge! Check in was a breeze then we walked to our room, adorable and perfectly equipped. Two beds: queen... More

We weren't sure we were taking a summer vacation this year so we booked very late in the season. For a family of 5 there were only three rooms left so we took what we could get. We had a double queen with a rollaway ($10/night extra). I have to say, we fit just fine. It was a decent sized... More

This was an amazing retreat up in the mountains. We went to Fort Davis for star gazing at the McDonald Observatory and it was absolutely amazing. This lodge was about 10 miles from the observatory. The rooms are very well kept and very clean. The grounds are very nice. The swimming pool was well kept. The restaurant at the lodge... More

Wife and I took a last minute weekend getaway to Fort Davis, our first trip here, and will not be our last. We had no reservations and were surprised they actually had a vacancy. Nice rustic place, great room, we had room 114 in the historic section. We thought it was a great price as well, compared to big city... More
