This was close to town, close to the Mcdonald Observatory. I wish the hotel had a hot tub, the pool was cold. I would of paid more if they had a hot tub and a way to make the pool a little warmer. Other than that it was a pleasant place to stay. I should of brought a card game... More

Indian Lodge inside Davis Mountains State Park is gorgeous! It has great history with the CCC and the rooms are nice and spacious with rustic interiors. There are several outdoor patios, a fountain, even an outdoor fireplace to enjoy the mountains in the winter. In the summer, there's a pool at the Lodge. The park store and Black Bear restaurant... We stayed one night at Indian Lodge because we planned on a visit McDonald Observatory. The Lodge was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food at the Bear Restaurant was outstanding and affordable. Every staff person we dealt with was friendly, courteous, and treated us like family. If we are back in the area, we will... More

My husband and I greatly enjoyed waking up eat morning watching the sunrise in the canyon between the Davis Mountains. Good meals at the Bear Restaurant. Helpful staff. Housekeeping sometimes slack, like not making the bed, not cleaning, just replacing the towels.

We stayed 1 night at the Indian Lodge so we would be close to the McDonald Observatory. What a suprise! We liked the adobe styled architecture as well as the affordable, clean room, soft bed & park scenery. This is the place to go to get away from it all !! We enjoyed watching the sun rise with the birds... More

We spent one night at the lodge while touring the Big Bend area. Our room was very clean, well maintained and quiet. Comfortable beds, big room and nice bathroom for a very reasonable price. We would stay there again if we are ever in the area. Very pretty location and very relaxing. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site... More

We booked one night in the Indian Lodge at the Fort Davis state park just so the grandchild could spend a night in a lodge. We travel by RV. She thought it was a great thing. It's incredibly quiet at the lodge, the rooms are nice nothing extravagant but very good for a lodge. We were told our room had... More

First of all I can say that the price is right. We have stayed in many of the rooms from those above the office to those down near the parking lot and have always enjoyed ourselves. It you are expecting a stay at the Ritz, good luck. If you like places with character and clean cozy rooms with all the... More

Once you visit this picture perfect lodge in the heart of the Davis Mountains you will fall in love. The rooms are comfortable, the front desk staff kind, and the natural surroundings spectacular. The sunrise picture was taken right outside of my room. If only the restaurant was halfway decent. But Fort Davis is a few miles away with 3... More

What an amazing time we all had! This is a great place to bring little ones as there is so much to do in the surrounding areas. If you don't want to camp you can stay in the beautiful accommodations. The staff could not have been any friendlier and helpful when we needed them!
