Stayed here one night on a visit to the observatory. The adobe style buildings set against the backdrop of the Davis Mountains State Park was very scenic. It was even more picturesque when huge snowflakes started falling after we checked into our room on Dec 27. Stayed in room 220 which is a two queen unit. The room was spacious... More

We have stayed here several times in the historic section and love the honeymoon suite and the Lady Bird suite. We had no problems with noise. A previous commenter was chagrined that guests were placed above her the second day, but people like me request specific rooms when we book and always expect them and get them when we check... More

My childhood was spent camping in the Davis Mountains area some 40 years ago and I remember seeing the Indian Lodge and wishing that I could stay there. On one occasion, I got to swim in the pool there because of an invitation from a friend. Well, better late than never. Now I'm 52 and I decided that staying in... More

Our family of four stayed in a junior suite (one double bed in the bedroom and a hide-a-bed in the living room) located in the “original” section for three nights. The views, the ambiance, and the general cozy feel of the Indian Lodge makes for a phenomenal time during the day. However, as soon as night hits – the atmosphere... More

Had Room 112 with a wonderful view of the Davis Mountains from our patio. The room is quite large and beautifully decorated with CCC hand made furniture, wood floor & ceiling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. While I've stayed at the Lodge previously, my friend had not & he was overwhelmed with the beauty of both the Lodge... More

We went with two other couples to visit the observatory's star party and enjoy the area. Had stayed here many years ago with our 2 children. They have kept it up very nicely and made improvements to the rooms. The rooms are large and there is a nice outdoor patio where we enjoyed snacks before the star party. Afterward, we... More

Pros: • Beautiful setting. Don’t miss the skyline drive in the Park. • Rooms are a good size (we were in room 322), beds good, view of canyon lovely, windows on both sides of the room so nice air flow through room. • TV in room good • Staff in Office and restaurant very friendly. • Price is right! $107/night... Out in nowhere. But that is the point I guess. Fresh air and beautiful mountains. We went with large family. Was three hour drive from El Paso. Nothing around here for what seems hours. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. Beds very nice. Room was charming with lots of wood and modern bath with excellent sheets and towels. People at... More

Have never been up to the Indian Lodge before. What a treat ! I wish we could have gotten a room in the old part but we were so lucky to get anything at all as they fill up 9 months in advance. Be aware of this and call early !! Beds are SO comfortable. Rooms are lovely and what... More

stayed two nights during severe cold (17F) snap, and stayed warm. Heater was very loud and one can hear footsteps above very well, but is a historic hotel built by the CCC in the '30's.W Restaurant is not a franchise from the very reasonable prices. No cell service and WiFi in the room is very iffy due to thick Adobe... More
