stayed two nights during severe cold (17F) snap, and stayed warm. Heater was very loud and one can hear footsteps above very well, but is a historic hotel built by the CCC in the '30's.W Restaurant is not a franchise from the very reasonable prices. No cell service and WiFi in the room is very iffy due to thick Adobe... More

Loved this place. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made you feel like old friends. The hiking opportunities are wonderful. It is close to so many historic and interesting attractions, its the perfect place to stay to visit all of those.

Quaint adobe lodge nestled in the mountains of Fort Davis State Park. Rooms are simple but private, with balconies offering spectacular views. One miss is televisions in the rooms, which can be overheard, and clutter the entire reason for seeking such a setting. But the staff are friendly and accommodating. We had a reservation mix-up, which they remedied quickly and... More

Breathtaking landscape of the Davis Mountain's as you can relax in your private outdoor patio furniture outside your own accommodations. Enjoy the porch swing under the patio overlooking the beautiful swimming pool or in the adobe style courtyard right outside the CCC historical common area. The staff was extremely friendly and sociable when greeting guest with high enthusiasm and morale.... More

This was close to town, close to the Mcdonald Observatory. I wish the hotel had a hot tub, the pool was cold. I would of paid more if they had a hot tub and a way to make the pool a little warmer. Other than that it was a pleasant place to stay. I should of brought a card game... More

Indian Lodge inside Davis Mountains State Park is gorgeous! It has great history with the CCC and the rooms are nice and spacious with rustic interiors. There are several outdoor patios, a fountain, even an outdoor fireplace to enjoy the mountains in the winter. In the summer, there's a pool at the Lodge. The park store and Black Bear restaurant... We stayed one night at Indian Lodge because we planned on a visit McDonald Observatory. The Lodge was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food at the Bear Restaurant was outstanding and affordable. Every staff person we dealt with was friendly, courteous, and treated us like family. If we are back in the area, we will... More

My husband and I greatly enjoyed waking up eat morning watching the sunrise in the canyon between the Davis Mountains. Good meals at the Bear Restaurant. Helpful staff. Housekeeping sometimes slack, like not making the bed, not cleaning, just replacing the towels.

We stayed 1 night at the Indian Lodge so we would be close to the McDonald Observatory. What a suprise! We liked the adobe styled architecture as well as the affordable, clean room, soft bed & park scenery. This is the place to go to get away from it all !! We enjoyed watching the sun rise with the birds... More

We spent one night at the lodge while touring the Big Bend area. Our room was very clean, well maintained and quiet. Comfortable beds, big room and nice bathroom for a very reasonable price. We would stay there again if we are ever in the area. Very pretty location and very relaxing. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site... More
