This place is a decent value for the money, but we were not excited about it. The owners seemed friendly and competent, but the rooms all seemed a bit tired and faded, needed brightening up with new bedspreads perhaps...Of the B and B's we visited on our trip, this was the only one that did not ask us any questions... more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this friendly little town! This past August, the local genealogical society in Clatsop County hosted the first annual reunion of the descendants of the permanent members of the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery, and the whole town opened up its arms and welcomed us! After looking for B&B's in Astoria on the internet, I called the Franklin St. B&B and spoke to the proprietor directly. As she described the rooms, I asked more about the Hideaway suite, and she described it to me.
