This hotel and its friendly, helpful staff are terrific. The rooms are large, comfortably appointed and the bathrooms are truly ensuites with a lot of room and vanity space for 2-3 travelers and their toiletries. There's free WiFi, USA Today, and a good working TV and clock radio. The hotel also has a complimentary wine and cheese late afternoon gathering held... More

I stayed there last year, and I am returning in April with my husband. Flying across the country b/c I enjoyed the hotel and scene so much I wanted him to experience it! The views, location, and the vibe are really wonderful! Lots of great restaurants in the area.

At the Cannery Pier Hotel it is all about the Columbia River. Everything in the hotel is centered on the river. The lobby is comfortable with overstuffed chairs and a spectacular view of the river. The rooms all have windows along the river side and a small balcony for being next to the river. The rooms are laid out so... More

The setting of this remarkable hotel is amazing. Each room hangs out over the mighty Columbia River offering close-up views of the ship travel inbound and outbound from the Pacific Ocean. The staff was efficient and attentive to our every request. Be sure to ask at the desk for a schedule of the ship traffic--so you can more understand what... More

We stayed here on January 10, 2015, my husband's 66 birthday! The staff was welcoming, offering to help carry our bags, etc. The room was immaculate, and the view spectacular! My husband has not stopped talking about it! We spent the evening with our children visiting and celebrating, with plenty of room for all. I actually used the gorgeous tub... More

As our Christmas gift to each other, my husband and I visited Astoria for New Year's. We stayed at the Cannery Pier for two nights: New Year's Day and the following day. We of course loved the view, the evening social hour with good wine and great food, and the morning breakfast with authentic local Scandinavian pastries. But our experience... More

My wife and I passed through Astoria on the way to the Oregon coast, and based on the many rave reviews for this hotel we decided to try it out. After having stayed there, I must say that while the hotel is unique and superficially quite nice, I cannot give the same high praise. We stayed in one of the... More

Recently spent a wonderful holiday evening at this excellent Hotel. Warm and welcoming staff, spectacular views of the Astoria Megler bridge from each room, as large ships cruise by, and a perfectly outfitted room, complete with binoculars to view the sites. Fireplace, wonderful happy hour, warm nightly cookies, and a relaxing continental breakfast. Walking distance to a wonderful restaurant, this... More

Do you want a visit you will never forget? Go to the Cannery Pier. The view and experience of the Columbia River is to die for. Watch the ocean-going ships pass by and take photos but usually just lay back and enjoy the river and scenery. It just does not get any better. Go shopping at the outlets in Seaside... More

Our second visit to Astoria and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else but the Cannery Pier. It's a unique experience from the location (as close as you can get to any waterside views - feeling like you are in the Colombia River on your balcony will not disappoint), the room (so so spacious and attention to detail from binoculars...
