Right on the shipping channel in Astoria Oregon. You are so close you can talk with the sailors on the ships! The accomodations are fantastic and they even have a driver and limo to take you anywhere you want to go in the area. The place is a little pricey but worth it for the special occasions.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Cannery and found it very nice in all respects. The staff were all very helpful and accomodated my every request. Both the wine/cheese reception and the light breakfast were fine, nothing fancy but a very nice addition to the stay. We loved the lobby area, bright, airy, nice seating and the views are... More

This was our first trip to Astoria and the weather did not cooperate. We were there for two nights but we had rain most of the time and the temp was a little chilly. I had read about Astoria in a book about the fur trade in America and actually being there verified much of what I had read. Its... More

Recently spent two nights at Cannery Pier hotel while on a business trip to Astoria. What a comfortable and spacious place to stay! The rooms are designed to see across the water of Young's Bay, with a nice little lanai that holds two chairs. They even provide a lap blanket and binoculars in the room so you can watch the... More

Splurged and stayed here for a recent anniversary weekend. The service was very friendly without being over bearing. Breakfast was more than expected- fresh fruit, pastries and really great coffee! Wine and cheese at 5 was also unexpected- wine was good and cold and several varieties of cheese. Bathroom toiletries were awesome-loved the huge claw foot tub. Surprise bottle of... More

Stunning waterfront setting under the Astoria-Megler Bridge with a beautiful view across the mouth of the Columbia River. Excellent friendly service, super clean rooms, great continental breakfast, even better happy hour with free wine tastings and snacks. Rooms were immaculate, beds were very comfortable but the setting is where it is at! Ships and barges, birds and boats, sunrises and... More

This hotel is a replica of the cannery that was originally there. Each room has a window seat, binoculars and fireplace and amazing views of astoria-Megler bridge and columbia river! Wine and cheese happy hour. Spectacular

We stayed here for two nights during a trip around the North West. It was after the schools had started the new term so gone were the families, to be replaced by an older generation of guest. Good hotel with very interesting past in the historic canning area of the city. Rooms were very good - light, airey and comfortable... More

We returned for our second stay and were wowed yet again by it's comfort and luxury. A corner suite lets you sit and watch huge ships and small fishing boats go right by your room as you sip your morning coffee. The afternoons were sunny and we enjoyed wine and canapés outside on the deck, right next to the water... More

Every once in a while one stays at a place that is so special and so surpassingly excellent in its' location, rooms, amenities and service that it makes a traveler positively gush with enthusiasm. CHP is such a place. Our experience began when we arrived very early for check in-10AM or so-and were cheerfully and ably assisted by Kelsey who... More
