Build on a pier on the Columbia River with great views of the river, the bridge, and the city of Astoria. Room was well appointed, quiet and clean with a small patio...really nice! Plus local wine tasting with cheese and goodies every afternoon, and some really cool old cars that you can reserve to take you/pick you up at restaurants... More

We had a wedding to go to in Astoria Memorial Day weekend and had booked the Cannery for two days. It was recommended to us by the wedding party. We had not stayed there before. The rooms had a great view of the Columbia River and the Astoria Bridge. We could watch ships go by our room. Our room had... More

This was truly a wonderful experience staying at the Cannery Pier Hotel. The room was luxurious with a wonderful view of the water. Every room in the hotel has a view of the water with huge windows that let in a ton of light. Our stay was during a wet weekend, yet it still felt open and light. The location... More

We came to Astoria for a small family gathering and several family members had stayed here before, but it was our first experience. This is a hotel done right. The rooms are large with unbelievable views of the river. The fact that they have some dog-friendly rooms is a bonus. There are many things to do and see in the... More

Absolutely outstanding experience at this hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and classy, with fireplaces, private balconies and window seats overlooking the Columbia, and claw-foot tubs. Extras and amenities include loaner bikes for exploring the scenic river trail, a hosted wine and hors d'oeuvres reception, spa and small fitness center with sauna and... More

The accommodations are exemplary. We arrived in time for appetizers and wine, after a long drive. Our room was very quiet with a beautiful view of the Columbia River and the Megler bridge. Seals played in the water outside our door- what a treat to watch. The hotel provided a chauffeured car to our chosen restaurant, the Silver Salmon. Our... More

My partner has been to the CPH on her own several times, and this was my first time staying there with her. It was a fantastic birthday gift to me. The location and the hotel design were impressive enough, with the big ships (and wildlife) practically outside our window. And I also appreciated the service and the special perks like... More

On our "Cold Beer & Cabernet" tour of Oregon, Astoria was our first stop. After our experience at this Hotel we regretted not planning more than one night. From the friendly check-in, to the fantastic views from our room, we had a first class experience. Astoria is a quaint town with surprisingly good dining options. The front desk was very... More

As an avid bird watcher, I never travel without my binoculars. That way, wherever I find myself, even if I can't fit the time in my schedule for a true jaunt afield, I can at least pop out and scout the area around the hotel for anything with feathers. Sometimes this is satisfactorily productive, sometimes less than such; however at... More

We had a wonderful overnight getaway to Astoria. The weather was sunny, which was a plus. There is a paved pathway right along the riverfront through town, so we walked and rode bicycles to the shops and restaurants. The hotel was wonderful, quiet, private, clean and comfortable. There are wide windows everywhere so you're never missing a chance to see... More
