We love the Astoria area and this was our fourth stay at the Cannery Pier. The setting cannot be beaten. The staff are very friendly, informative and helpful. We stayed in a corner suite with views of the bridge and the river and we spent a lot of time relaxing in the living room watching the ships passing by our... More

My wife and I spent two weeks on the Oregon Coast in August 2014 with the last days in Astoria. The Cannery Pier was, by far, the nicest and most friendly hotel experience we had whilst in Oregon. The views of the Columbia River are beautiful and the staff was very helpful with suggestions for the area. If you go... More

We were making our way up the coast from Portland to Washington and stopped for a night in Astoria. The hotel was great! We had a corner room overlooking the water and got to watch the boats come and go. They had an amazing happy hour with snacks and drinks. The highlight (for my kids anyway) was being taken to... Fantastic, helpful check-in staff. Knowledgable and offered many suggestions for our day and dinner options. The complimentary vintage cars is a wonderful idea to offer guests as a way of getting in to town due to the lack of hotel restaurant. Views are spectacular and I loved the window seat and blanket to curl up and take in the view... More

A beautiful hotel in every way. The hotel, perched over the Columbia River, the building is plain on the outside but a real gem inside. Fantastic views and amazing and very comfortable entryway. Free wine and snacks in the evening and continental breakfast in the morning. Very gracious staff. Room was very comfortable. Top Notch!

..that hasn't already been said? This is truly a beautiful hotel with stunning views. I am a very picky hotel room person, I can find something wrong with every room so to be fair... The only thing I found "wrong" with this one is housekeeping can be brushed up on a little..there were some old (blood?coffee?wine?) stains splattered on parts... More

From the second we arrived we were made to feel special. The helpful staff offer such a high quality of service it is exceptional. This hotel has many positive features and a few little minor niggles. Overall it is a truly great place to stay! Guests have access to bicycles to cycle around the river trail when ever you want.... We spent 2 nights in room 106 and had the best time. The service was perfect, from booking to checkout. The continental breakfast was good, we loved the waffle maker, and thoroughly enjoyed the wine and cheese reception at night. The best part though was the view from the room. The hotel is out at the very end of the... More

If you are planning to visit Astoria or NW Oregon, you won't find a better hotel than this. In fact, if you are not planning a trip here, you should. The Cannery Pier is exceptional - the rooms are beautifully furnished and all have a small balcony overlooking the bridge. Service is also excellent.

We stayed at the beautiful Cannery Pier Hotel on August 8. Our rooms were just lovely!! Spotless! Large bathroom with a pristine tub for soaking with a view of the Columbia River. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee service and fireplace. This room had the best bed I may have ever slept in. The hotel offers complimentary wine and cheese in the evenings... More
