This place is fantastic. The staff is amazingly helpful. I love that you can borrow bikes to ride about town and the chauffered vehicles are awesome. Complimentary glass of wine in the evening? Yes Please! Beautiful room with plush robes, small private balcony and a view of the river from the tub? Check, Check and Yes! This place is a... More

This hotel made me say "ahhhhh!" when I saw it from a distance, and then "ahhhhh!" again when we got to our room. Could not have been nicer in any way (well, the shower was a little low-pressure, but I managed)! Loved our room, loved our view, loved the way we were treated. Expensive, but they did serve a decent... More

We stayed for one night and had a very nice time. The room was very nice and large. The rate was reasonable for the type of hotel. Had a great view of the water and the bridge and occasionally marine traffic. The hotel is quiet. The staff was very pleasant. We had massages and both ladies were wonderful. The value... More

The Cannery Pier Hotel was equisite from the little chocolates to the nature scenery. It evoked a feeling of being a passenger on a Cruise ship as it is literally built on the mighty Columbia river. The service was impeccable and all the employees were genuinely pleasant and friendly. We took a ride in the 1958 Turquoise Chevrolet, escorted by our... More

As previously reported, the hotel is located over the water of the Columbia River, so you get to watch ocean-going ships as they pass nearby. It is sited on an old pier where a fishing cannery was once located, and the story of the building project is available on a video which is worth watching. It helps put perspective on... More

The hotel is literally situated over the water. Our room faced the Columbia River and the Astoria-Megler bridge. The hotel has two antique cars that will take you into town for dinner. The hotel is modern, clean and environmentally conscious.

This is such an amazing hotel. It's built on a newly built pier as explained in the beautifully done video that you can watch in your hotel room. Every room has a view of the spectacular Columbia River and Astoria Bridge, along with a balcony. The lobby area has 180 degree views of the river and you can watch container... More

Really loved the wine and cheese tasting in the lobby! So many lovely places to choose to sit with your treats--outside looking at the river or above the lobby on the second floor perch, plus nice seating near the front desk. Our room as just as the other reviewers raved over! Huge ships passing by the window by your bed!... More

We were coming home from the coast and happened to check out the hotel, as it as such gorgeous weather to have to go back home to the heat. Great customer service, beautiful views and within walking distance of dining. We loved the extras: Sauna, jacuzzi tub, cookies in the lobby, complimentary bike rentals... The list goes on and on... Cannery Pier Hotel is a delightful gem. Very unique design throughout the entire building. Each room has a GREAT view of the Columbia River with large ships passing by. There is a wine and cheese buffet every evening plus a very nice breakfast in the morning. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We loved... More
