Lovely hotel, just what is expected from the reviews. Accommodations spacious. Clean. Nice touches like window seat and woolly blankets and binoculars as you sit over the river. Great location, nice walking path of 15 min stroll into heart of down town.

Astoria is pretty quiet in January - gray, cold, etc. I had to go for business, at the end of one of those 8-day trips when you fly on 6 of the days. Cannery Pier Hotel to the rescue: Super clean, comfortable spaces with lots of light even on the grayest of days. Easy-to-use guest laundry room to freshen up... More

Beautiful location with unsurpassed views. Outstanding service, clean spacious rooms. Very nice happy hour with wine and cheese, a great chance to converse with fellow visitors. Short walk to try local breweries of outstanding quality. A must do when in Oregon.

Unique, beautiful location. Hotel is very nice. Just not first class or 5 star. Rooms are ok. Although furnishings are cheap and uncomfortable. Shower was full of mildew and mold. Clean rooms with gorgeous views though. Breakfast and happy hour was a joke. I never complain about price. Always want the best rooms and don`t mind paying for it. However,... More

This hotel is like any other. Beautiful hotel built right on the pier with amazing views of the Columbia River. This is a very luxurious hotel and the cars are from the 50's. I can't say enough about how amazing this hotel is. It is definitely worth the stop!

We (family of three adults) spent one night in this beautifully located hotel built right on the pier with fantastic views of the Columbia River. As luxurious accommodations aren’t easily found on the Oregon Coast, we were happy to find a hotel in Astoria offering not only a really nice setting but also comfortable enough rooms. We went for a... More

We read the reviews of this hotel and decided to give it a try. Wow, are we glad we did. The list of special touches and high end extras is truely delightful. King bed, fireplace, huge room over the water, balcony, window seat overlooking the Columbia River and the bridge, binoculars, Penelton throw for warmth, chocolates, bathrobes, a huge claw-foot... We stopped in for New Years Eve, on our way down the coast. Normally, one would consider sleeping under a bridge a bad thing, but in this case it was stunning. We were welcomed with some lovely wine. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, with lots of little touches (binoculars, a blanket on the window seat, a bottle of sparkling wine).... More

The Cannery Pier Hotel is on the Columbia River, just under the Astoria Bridge. It is an ideal location with huge ocean ships passing by your room (all rooms have a river view). They have wine and cheese (ans sometimes salmon) at 5 pm. And breakfast every morning. There is an old chevy that is used to take guests around... More

We spent one night in a small suite. The man that checked us in in the evening(and also was serving the wine at the evening reception) was very helpful and kind. I really appreciated this after a long drive to get to the hotel. The evening reception with the wine, cheese, and smoked salmon was a nice treat. The breakfast... More
