Located on the river walk in close proximity to the fishermans memorial under the big trans Columbia bridge connecting Oregon with Washington. Close to very good restaurants. Pig and Pancake breakfast house across the street. The Ship Inn Astorias excellent fish and chip pub down the street. Stephanie's Cabin down a little farther. Nice rooms clean and nicely laid out.... We only spent one night here, and wish we could have spent a few more. We arrived late, in the rain after driving most of the day. Check-in staff was very helpful; upgraded us to a suite. We get to the room, and there's a set of gas logs ready to light. Open the curtain, and there's the Columbia River,... More

Love this hotel. Manager, Caroline and her experienced staff helped me coordinate 7 rooms and accommodated last minute changes and special requests cheerfully. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, comfortable and well organized. Very comfortable beds and every room has a fantastic view. Hard to resist thoses fresh baked cookies at front desk!

My only regret is that I was only able to spend one night here. The location is great and the entire staff was outstanding. They were friendly and provided me with great places to go sightseeing and where to to go unwind and enjoy a good meal afterwards. I will definitely be back when I can spend more time. If... More

We wanted a room on the river and were very pleased with this hotel. Everything was very clean and the room was nicely appointed with a sofa, fireplace, and lots of room. The river view is excellent and they even post when big ships will be arriving/departing. It's right on the river walk and we walked to restaurants and the... More

I unexpectedly stayed at this hotel because of incidents during the earlier part of the day on my trip to the Oregon coast (US border customs, traffic accident closing Route 30, closing of the bridge down US 101). The room charge was more than the original hotel that I had made a reservation on the Oregon coast, but the room... More

I don't understand how this place made 2nd best hotel unless there just isn't much to choose from in Astoria. Pluses: great views from room over looking river. Excellent staff. Fair breakfast with paper plates and plastic utensils. Minuses: very annoying noise from attic somewhere all night long lasting about 10 seconds but happened every 10 minutes or so. Just... More

Right on the river. We had a great view, and it was quiet since we were not on the street side. Super clean, comfortable beds. Very friendly front desk staff (and there were cookies!). The breakfast was adequate, but we didn't like the push button pancakes. There is a great walkway along the river, right outside the door. We loved... More

Holiday Inn Express always has helpful and pleasant staff, and a standard, filling, abeit boring, breakfast available. It was comfortable and clean with plenty of towels, had a TV, coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator, etc. Be sure to ask for a room above the first floor and with a river view. I wish the windows had opened a little more... More

Very nice hotel right on the walking trail along the Columbia River and right next to the bridge connecting Washington to Oregon. My wife and I stayed here for one night as we traveled down the Oregon Coast. We had a river view room which gave us the opportunity to watch the freighters travel back and forth under the massive...
